into onto computer from sales orders, multi-level bill of materials and drawings. Run and issue MRP and

WIP status reports. Create issue, and close production work orders. Update capacity planning and

production schedule. Use inventory control and shop-floor programs to produce scheduled daily, weekly,

or reports. Review open order report information to verify accuracy or investigate and correct

discrepancies. Determine production material required and quantities available. Communicate type of

materials approaching critical re-order levels to purchasing function to assure material is available for

production requirements.
