Summary

I have more than twenty five years experience in information technology

working on a IBM Mainframe system with Cobol, CICS, JCL, etc as a

Consultant, Systems Analyst Programmer, and Financial Application Manager.

I have extensive experience in all aspects of information systems, with

emphasis in supporting healthcare institutions. I have performed analysis,

design, applications programming, systems programming, customization,

conversion, training, troubleshooting and project management for the

McKesson HealthQuest Patient Accounting, Patient Management, and Medical

Record Systems.

Experience

I continue to work at Aultman Health on production issues, software

upgrades, and special projects. We recently upgraded to 18.0 from 15.0. I

recently created a program that would take physician C1/C2 charge cards and

create HL7 charge transaction for a third party vendor.

I finished up a 3 month contract at Spectrum Health in July 2013 helping

them with their production backlog of tickets. My duties include working

with users, analysis of problem, coding, testing and resolution.

In 2012 I finished an engagement at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore helping

with their project requests lists as a programmer analyst. In December

2011 I completed a 2 year contract at Sinai Hospital to help with their

upgrade to HealthQuest 16.0. Prior to this project I helped this hospital

with their initiative in bringing a new hospital on HealthQuest. My duties

included writing conversion programs from the old system to HealthQuest,

creating/modifying report programs to support the new hospital and entity,

and some production support.

In 2012 I also completed an assignment at Aultman Hospital helping with

their 14.0 & 15.0 upgrade initiative. I also worked on a new Medical

Record interface utilizing the 3M TruCode product. My responsibilities

included converting JCL, updating programs with custom code, testing and

working with hospital personnel on issues.

In late 2009, I completed a project at a large healthcare institution in

the South were I installed the ASC X12N 835 and ASC X12N 837 process within

HealthQuest. The customer required custom code to be added to both

processes to meet their needs. My duties included programming specs,

custom code, weekly meetings, and turnover.

In early 2009, I worked on a 12.1/13.0 upgrade at a hospital in the

Midwest. My duties include retrofitting custom code, installing recent

SCN's from McKesson, debugging problems and testing.

In 2008 I worked on a 5 hospital install at Trinity Health in Farmington

Hills Michigan. My duties include writing charge conversion programs from

STAR to HealthQuest, writing an interface to handle mass memos and account

reactivations, and duties as assigned.

I finished working at a large HealthQuest client out west at the end of

2007. My duties included installing quarterly APC's and Groupers,

debugging issues with Receivables Workstation, installing new releases,

mentoring staff, working on production problems and duties as assigned.

In 2005, I finished working on a 4 year contract at a large HealthQuest

install in the Midwest. My duties included writing a charge interface from

Cerner, IDX, Omni, and other systems to Healthquest utilizing the HL7

format. I was in charge of creating an interface that will send detailed

bill and statement files to an outside vendor to create a "patient

friendly" bill. I also wrote technical specifications, wrote customized

code to the system, installed Receivables Workstation, ran batch cycles,

and mentored hospital staff who were new to the system.

I was a contractor with a small IT firm were he supported a four hospital

system. Duties included 24 by 7 support, customization/installation of the

Outpatient APC Grouper, and attend weekly meetings with management.

As a Senior Consultant/Team Leader with an international consulting firm, I

have managed an install of a 2 Hospital HealthQuest 2000 version 3.0

system. Duties include installing/testing of the software, development of

enhancements to the system, managing employee's daily activities, prepare

for/attend meetings relating to project, and develop/maintain information

to track the overall progress of the project. I was also in charge of the

conversion of a 2.0 system to the version 3.0 system at a large healthcare

facility in the South.

As a Financial Application Manager for HBOC at an FM site, my

responsibilities included analysis, design, applications programming,

systems programming, customization, conversion, and troubleshooting of

major Hospital Information Systems and related products, including:

> Assisted in the installation, implementation and customization of the

HBOC HealthQuest 2.0 Patient Accounting and Patient Management Systems.

> Developed plan for, debugged, tested and implemented changes to convert

to the HealthQuest 3.0 Patient Accounting and Patient Management systems.

Also, made extensive use of the Quick Access tools.

> Managed the implementation of the Dun and Bradstreet General Ledger and

Payroll systems. Provided support for the Dun and Bradstreet General

Ledger, Payroll, Inventory, Accounts Payable and Information Expert

systems.

I also served as a Senior Analyst and Programmer Analyst for three mid-

western hospitals with duties including:

> Development of specifications, and coding and testing of programs, to

convert existing applications to a HealthQuest Medipac Patient Accounting

system.

> Supervised project team for conversion of existing applications to a

Medipac Patient Accounting system.

> Maintenance and enhancement of the Medipac Patient Accounting System.

> Project leadership in the incorporation of two health care facilities

into the hospital's Patient Accounting System.

> Reduced batch run time by multi-threading jobstreams, thereby reducing

processing time by 40% and allowing increased availability of the on-line

system.
