Present
- April 2011 - Present: Founding member of the "Build" team tasked with
standardizing and automating new server deployments - both physical
servers and virtual servers in the VMware operation. Environments
include: RHEL5, RHEL6, SuSE10/11, Windows 2003/2008, CentOS.
Performed end to end build functions including all system tools and
applications. Responsible for all support of the
user/dba/development communities on newly built servers until such
time as the servers are in production. Functions provided, but not
limited to, rpm package management, user admin, kernel tuning, sudo
admin, QAS/AD authentication admin, filesystem administration. Lead
an active role in maintaining the ESX clusters, the server deployment
templates, and automating the build process with HP Orchestrator and
Opsware in cooperation with the engineering teams.

approximately 1,500 servers spanning RHEL, SuSE, HP-UX operating
