providing architects, engineers, builders, contractors, owners, and manufacturers with structural steel erection,
millwrighting, installations, removal and heavy rigging (technical disassembly or assembly) of machinery and equipment
(including plant relocating), logistics, specialized transporting/heavy trucking, and warehousing (storage) services.
Challenge.
Responsible for the overall implementation of the safety culture and program within the organization. Provided
guidance, assistance and advice to project management and senior leadership through interpretation of client
requirements and current legislation and regulations.

Key Accountabilities:
Highly visible leadership role. Overall oversight and responsibility for all facets of the occupational health and safety
function across all OCIP (Owners Controlled Insurance Program) field projects – from contract award through delivery

Role Summary:
OCIP (Owners Controlled Insurance Program) Site. Contracted to lead complete ground-up development and
implementation of Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) processes during the creation of the joint venture.
Implemented HS&E strategy for entire site.
This position was a high-visible, work boots-to-handshakes individual contributor role. Monitored site of nearly 50 prime
subcontractors and 300+ skilled craft labor employees.
Worked closely with all site-levels of leadership, functional staffs, contractors and outside regulatory agencies. Ensured
project operated within all state and federal laws, regulations and directives.
Developed metrics to track safety performance. Implemented and enforced Turner’s safety policies and procedures.
