INTREPID

The International Repository of Investment Data (INTREPID) will replace the

existing Global Reference Database (GRD) and tools with a new reference

data system that will provide DMS (Data Management Services) with data

acquisition, management, and distribution capabilities in support of the

future state vision. The Asset Control (AC) software was acquired to serve

as the core of the new reference data environment and be extended as

needed. Migration to the new INTREPID environment will be a multi-year

effort that aligns delivery of value-add services with continued support of

existing services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Holdings Hub

The Holdings Hub is a platform which represents the centralized aggregated

holdings information of portfolios and funds. Source data for the system

includes fund accounting (FOCAS, FOCAS Money Market, FIL Invest1, FPMCMS

and Mig ), Corporate actions ( Focas and FPCMS), Pricing System (GPWC,

other accounting sources and trading systems), trading ( Fixed Income,

Equity, Pyramis, Escrow ), GRD, Security References etc. The output of

the holdings hub is an ODS and warehouse database schema as well as a small

set of flat files (for specific down-stream system consumption). Data is

loaded into the system through numerous Informatica, Transformation Server,

and stored procedure processes. A GIM (GLOBAL INVESTOR MANAGEMENT) process

that applies all the positions, trades, corporate actions, etc. as part of

the application data generator, the result of which is the positions for

the next trading day given a particular view.

shell Scripts and autosys. IDW contains trade history since 1996, current

day trading information loaded 6 times day daily, Holding data like

Beginning of Day UK security and fund-level holdings, fund net asset,

Reference data(Securities, issuers, brokers, funds) and supplementary

trade and reference data like settlement data, failed trades, approved

broker lists, trading desk assignments, new issues.

Responsibilities:

. Single point of contact for design and development for IDW.

. Involved in creating technical documentation for the project.

. Designed procedures for getting data from multiple systems to Data

Warehousing system. The data was standardized to accommodate new pyramis

trading data.

. Used transformation server to track real time trading data.

. Designed stored procedures for loading data from transformation server

Project: FMS2(FEED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM 2)

FMR2 is designed to strengthen the oversight and administration of data

feed management (IFeeds) and provide a service that is efficient,

centralized, controlled, auditable and secure, the Feed Management System

(FMS) is needed to collect feed metadata, setup new feeds/update existing

feeds on the iFeeds file servers, collect log activity, and provide

reporting. Sources are flat files ( ifeed server data), informatica is used

to process data and target is oracle database.

Project: INTEGRA (DRM Workstation) and EARL (DRM Bulk Loader)

The DRM Workstation development project consists of three phases involving

Informatica loaders in support of workflow management, and a fourth,

"middle-tier" verification phase which does not involve Informatica. This

middle-tier process verifies reply data from Bloomberg and updates several

of the oracle tables controlling workflow. DRM is requesting a bulk load

security set-up process which will add securities in a fully automated

manner onto the GRD. The new process will significantly decrease the time

it takes to add large quantities of securities onto the GRD. Source is

flat file from ifeed servers; data is loaded on db2 databases using LTMS

(load tracking management system) informatica and autosys.
