I started as a carpenter and worked my way up to Superintendent. I supervised
multi-million dollar projects, such as 4520 N. Malden, Chicago, Illinois, which was
a 2.5 million dollar renovation of a 52 unit Historic Hotel. We converted this Historic Hotel
into a 34 unit apartment building. I personally worked with the Historical Society in
Springfield and received a historical credit from the job.
We gutted the building, installed new walls, doors, windows, new plumbing, new
electric, repaired all masonry and made 2 apartments handicap accessible.
All work met historical requirements and code. I was in charge of all trades on the job.
I also was supervisor on a 2.7 million dollar construction of a new 25 unit senior housing
home located at 5445 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
Also worked on renovation of an office building and other smaller projects. I held
weekly contractor coordination meetings, as well as weekly safety meetings resulting
in an accident free work history.
