Project 3:
Oct 2006 to Aug 2007 as SAP XI Development Consultant Ericsson Bangalore
Customer Hierarchy Scenario
Company : IBM India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, India
Client : Ericsson, Sweden
Position : Member of MDM Team
Tools/Software : SAP XI 3.0/7.0(Integration Repository, Integration
Directory,
System Landscape Directory and Runtime Workbench),
Java, ABAP Proxy.
Project Scope:
Basically this project involves in distributing consolidated customer
master data from MDM to Business Warehouse via the SAP Exchange
Infrastructure. The MDM customer repository will consist of a limited set
of fields from the MUS/CBS central customer masters (table KNA1). Matching
functionality in MDM will be used for identifying duplicate customers in
the various source systems. Data from MDM is to be loaded into various BW
customer master data info-objects. The info-objects are linked to info
cubes, which are used by BW reports. The consolidated customer data is a
pre-requisite for using the global customer hierarchy in BW. The customer
hierarchy itself will be setup in the MUS and extracted to BW in a separate
scenario. SAP XI will collect syndicated master data files from the MDM
server and pipeline them to the BW system where data is loaded into delta
queue with a relevant ABAP proxy.
Responsibilities:
> Involved in configuring both the tools of XI i.e. Integration
Repository and Integration Directory.
> Integration Repository: Involved in Interface Objects and Mapping
Objects
> Integration Directory: Involved in configuring Service Without Party,
Receiver Determination, Interface Determination, Sender Agreement, and
Receiver Agreement.
> Involved in Generating custom ABAP Proxy and configured custom and
standard interfaces between MDM and BW.

Project 2:
Sep 2006 to Oct 2006 as SAP XI Development Consultant Ericsson Sweden
Stockholm
Vendor Harmonization Scenario
Company : IBM India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, India
Client : Ericsson, Sweden
Position : Member of MDM Team
Tools/Software : SAP XI 3.0/7.0(Integration Repository, Integration
Directory,
System Landscape Directory and Runtime Workbench),
SAP ALE and Idoc, Java.
Project Scope:
An authorized person fills out an Adobe Interactive Form and submits the
form. This request rendered by guided procedures and loaded into MDM using
Web Services. In MDM, the vendor is checked for existence and if vendors
does not exist it is created or just modified in case if the vendor is
available in the MDM. Then a notification is sent to the processor about
status of the request. In contrast to the current situation where a newly
created vendor has to be added manually to each backend source system - the
new scenario provides a solution that distributes new vendors to the
backend source systems by the Master Data Harmonization Scenario
automatically via XI. MDM posts a CREMDM03 XML Idoc into FTP location and
XI polls the CREMDM03 XML Idoc by File Adapter. XI converts this into
CREMDM03 Idoc and posts into r/3 MUS and CBS systems by using Idoc Adapter.
Responsibilities:
> Involved in ALE configurations for R/3 MUS and CBS systems.
> Involved in configuring both the tools of XI i.e. Integration
Repository and Integration Directory.
> Integration Repository: Involved in Interface Objects and Mapping
Objects
> Integration Directory: Involved in configuring Service Without Party,
Receiver Determination, Interface Determination, Sender Agreement, and
Receiver Agreement.
> Involved in configuring IDOC and File Adapter.
> Participated in extensive testing of the interface.

Client : Ericsson, Sweden
Position : Member of MDM Team
Tools/Software : SAP XI 3.0/7.0(Integration Repository,
Integration Directory,
System Landscape Directory and Runtime Workbench),
SAP ALE and Idoc, Java.
Project Scope:
Push the customer master data out of MUS and CBS as a mass Idoc to XI. XI
translates the IDoc to the XML standard DEBMDM05 and DEBMDM03 and sends it
to the MDM FTP server. The server imports the files into the MDM repository
with a defined import map based on the data model. The Data Manager
provides the functionality to find duplicates under defined matching and
normalization rules. These cleansing cases (matching groups) have to be
manually viewed and solved (merged) by the owner GMDM.

Project Scope:
Project aims for MDM 5.5 Vendor Master Data Alignment with data from CBS
and MUS R/3 system, and supplying aligned master data to BW for the BW
Sourcing project for global spend analysis. XI was chosen as the preferred
integration tool in this scenario because of strategic reasons, so that the
solution with MDM 5.5 will be consistent with SAP recommendations. The
standard delivered content by SAP was used wherever possible to achieve
supportability and ease of implementation. To achieve integration through
XI in the scenario described above, 2 integration scenarios were
implemented in XI. The first scenario involves data extraction from R/3
systems via XI, and the second scenario accomplishes data syndication from
MDM Syndicator to BW through XI.
Responsibilities:
> Effectively monitoring the Business flows and solving the issues in
time.
> Got good knowledge on monitoring tools of SAPXI like Message

Connection point and mapped to XML File Format. XML File is routed to the
customer (Boras, Gavle location based on the Shipping point
information present in the IDOC of type DESADV01. This XML file is dumped
into JmsIq Manager of Common Data Transfer (CDT) Schema with the help of
