. Self-motivated and innovative leader with exceptional problem solving

and communication skills.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

Research Assistant (University of Wisconsin-Madison)

1/2010-9/2/2010

. Investigated alcohol aerobic oxidation, searching for the best catalyst

with low loading, wide substrate scope, and high selectivity. Carried

out experiments synthesizing catalysts as well as screening various

catalyst systems for functional alcohols using air or pure O2.

Research Assistant (University of Wisconsin-Madison)

9/2007-12/2009

. Computer aided rational design of cathode catalysts for fuel cells with

density functional theory. Comprehensive research on oxygen reduction

reaction on metallic surface catalysts. Collaborated with experimental

groups, discovered a series of novel transition metal alloy catalysts

for fuel cells, predicted their energy efficiency and reaction

activity, verified the reaction mechanisms behind the experimental

observations, pointed out the critical properties of potential

catalysts.

Part Time MBA program (in progress)

EXPERIENCE

Process Engineer (Fluid Quip, Inc.)

9/3/2010-present

. Conducted research from lab scale to full scale on value adding

processes and separation technologies at full scale ethanol plants,

assisted senior process team with implementation of machines and

separation process technologies in developed processes; tested and

evaluated newly developed systems of front end oil recovery, maximized

stillage co-products, wet fractionation, and front end grind systems to

ensure the performance matches with calculated predictions; optimized

machine performance accordingly to process applications.

. Implemented newly developed enzyme into 3000MTPD corn wet mill plant,

increase starch yield by 2%.

. Analyzed benefits of high-protein products in swine rations from

various front-end and back-end fractionation corn-ethanol systems.
