o Switch Gear Room-fed from 3 different
city grids, protected from power failure
by two 1500 KW diesel generators with
thirteen 12000 volt risers (12,000 volts
is stepped down to 480/277 volt and
208/120 volt service and distributed

engines, 3 trucks, 5 fire zones with wet
and dry systems
o River Water Traveling Screens - filters
large debris from Chicago River down to
3/8 inch, vertical turbine pumps send
water to condenser at 7500 GPM (150 HP)
o Chiller - four 1200 ton Carrier Evergreen
Chillers using HFC-134A, energy efficient
and high - low demand, providing chilled
water (38o) to entire building
o Air Handlers - fourteen air handlers,
largest moving 100,000 CFM
