Career Summary:
Started as Avionics Technician in the USMC. While in the Marine
Corps became inspector of other technicians work. Managed a day crew of 8
technicians, assigning workloads and train new technicians. After eight
years in the Marines worked as a machine operator. Then moved onto the
Daily Herald where I started as a technician and currently assistant
manager for production support. I train new technicians as well as create
standard operating procedures for equipment. Order parts and maintain
repair parts inventory. Find new technology to replace obsolete parts in
older equipment. Part time computer repair business at same time working
for Paddock Publications.
Technical Skills:
Skillful in reading electronic circuit schematics, PLC or electrical
ladder logic diagrams, and have the ability to solder components on PCB
board. Test and replace components on PCB boards, components include
integrated circuits, capacitors, resistors, diodes and other parts.
Knowledge of the following test equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes,
function generators, frequency counters, power supplies, and chart
recorders. Perform PC repair and upgrades. Capable of wiring and setting up
computer networks. Capable of building computers from ground up and
proficient in all Microsoft O/S and Office programs.
Logical thinker with technical and mechanical skills in dealing with
electronic equipment; communicate effectively to identify and resolve
problems. Quickly learn new information and always looking forward to new
challenges. Once Knowledge is acquired, possess ability to train others
effectively.
