Act as a key resource in the creation of a new project plan geared toward
the migration of all GE Healthcare users/computer and servers to a new
active directory tree; 86,000 users, 8,000 servers in 406 locations
worldwide. Identify all associated risks to end users, create a corporate
communication plan, and schedule engineering resources.
. Partner with teams to define objectives, scope, and schedules;
identify and communicate requirements including work standards,
project plans, reporting and technology needs.
. Lead the identification of resources, assign individual
responsibilities, and provide ongoing support of processes to ensure
successful implementation; coordinated internal and external

. Conduct analytics on a variety of log and active records, including
Splunk via a third party application.

V Researched and proactively arranged new hardware purchases and
engineering services in response to lightning damage in excess of
$500,000 to one of the schools; included testing all equipment for
damage, ordering new hardware, and scheduling and overseeing the
engineering team.
V Participated in the designing and layout development of the Voice over
Internet Protocol (VoIP) system; acted as team leader in partnership
with ATT and Cisco in the roll-out of two call-manager servers, one
unity server, and 700 VoIP phones in a four month span. Led weekly
meetings to review timelines and complete risk management; largest
deployment in Wisconsin at that time.
V Implemented VMware 4.1 with VMware vSphere transition to
virtualization platform; expanded network services by installing
VMWare at each remote location to implement snapshot archiving.
Improved the efficiency and availability of IT resources and
applications producing significant cost savings.
