Skyware Global - Jan 2013 - May 2013 Contract/ Consulting Position

Global Supply Chain Manager - $55 Million spend, 11 suppliers

Manage and direct all Strategy, Sourcing and procurement decisions for the international

supply chain. Lead in moving business to Taiwan and China to increase revenue. Aligned

2 businesses to be fully assembled in these regions with an overall savings of $2M / yr.

Negotiated terms and conditions to setup 2 Strategic Manufacturing Partners (OEM’s) to

work on our biggest spend programs. These programs will be procured, assembled,

packed and shipped to the US for Skyware to direct to our customers 3 major sites. Lead

on ramping up NPI for launch of new products with the Suppliers. Driving all decisions

for the Asia team on logistics (Air, All Water, and Truck) that consists over seas of an

operation Manager, logistics lead and quality team for the Asia suppliers. This is to meet

the spike in demand and forecasting without affecting the company’s bottom line margin.

IBM / Lenovo - Feb 2006 - April 2012

Team Lead - Global Commodity Manager: $150 Million Spend, 11 Suppliers

Responsibilities include: Negotiation of IP, IT software contracts between teams. These

were high technical communication devices such as WWAN, WLAN, Bluetooth, Modem

Chipsets, Ethernet, These modules need to be driven at a high level for the newest

technology roadmap and innovations for Lenovo ( IBM) PC’s. Aligned contracts for all

procurement decisions, managed all negotiations and implemented a rebate process.

Managed risk assessment, scorecards, NDA’s, CDA’s, Cost data base, Contract data

base, supplier relationships. Work at Executive level to help align decisions such as

marketing IT and brand management. Established major relationships with high level

corporate entities. Manage high level suppliers such as Intel, Qualcomm, and Ericsson

etc.

Entered new business (EPBU) Enterprise Procurement business unit start up to drive new

factories in China, Mexico and Hungry for Lenovo.

This was an opportunity to start up several large global corporate businesses with Lenovo

for workstations and servers. I have now expanded my knowledge to manage the supply,

logistics, demand/forecasting and business expertise which it takes to manage a large

corporate global business successfully. Now that the regions are functioning I am

managing the OEM cards for workstations and the Raid commodity for Server business. I

currently manage the high spend suppliers in both which are NVIDIA, AMD and LSI.

Lucent Technologies - Jan 1997 - Nov 2005

Global Supplier Relationship Manager /Reliability Engineer:

$50 Million Spend & 11 Suppliers

Managed a large reliability lab for HALT, ALT, and EST testing for components. BGA

solder ability attach rates on PCB boards. Programmed environmental test chambers for

temperature ramp, dwell and soak of electronic components. Received Patent for testing

attachment reliability of RF devices (#5963039). Good knowledge of electronic

components.

Executive of Bell Labs Lucent moved me into global management of all thermal

components and systems in lucent communication systems. Fans, Fantrays, heat

exchangers, heat sinks, filters and thermal material. Managed OEM, CM’s for cost targets

and negotiated all terms and conditions. RFQ’s, RFI’s, NDA’s, forecasts, negotiations,

scorecards and supplier relationships were all part of my responsibilities. Was the major

contributor to start up factories with suppliers to implement a low cost region

successfully in China.

Thermo Metrics - March 1993 - July 1996

Final Test Engineer

Responsibilities include: Calibrating equipment and electronic measures of exact

temperature baths to test Thermistors for catheters that were used for medical devices and

RTD applications. ISO 9000 records kept for the calibration schedule of all equipment

and schedule of dates required. Repaired equipment, test leads, test wires and calibrated

baths.

Accomplishments:

• Granted the Genesis Award from Lucent Technologies for creating the DMX supply

chain in record time.

• Awarded United States Patent for testing the attachment reliability of RF components

(5963039).

• Yellow Belt Six Sigma certified

Technical Skills:

• Used extensive understanding in electronics to push NPI components and design for a

robust product in the RFI and RFQ process.

• Developed, analyzed and characterized the reliability of critical telecommunications
