System, Division of Technology
Over the past 11 year at the Unified Court System, Division of
Technology, I have worked on several different systems as Programmer /
Project Lead / Lead Analyst. I have participated in the SDLC of two
applications, Kronos and PeopleSoft (HR), Universal Budget System and Jury
Management System.
Jury Management System:
The goal of this project is to re-write the existing functionality of the
jury management system (current system is in COBOL and Datacom) and create
a web based application using Oracle and JAVA.
As Project Lead:
. Responsible for managing and overseeing the operation of the project,
including setting strategic priorities, setting milestones, reviewing
progress, reporting status and resolving conflicts
. Ensure deliverables/milestones in project plans are achieved within
schedule, scope and quality
. I am responsible for working with the user group committee to gather
and document requirements
. Suggest solutions, negotiate user expectations
. Design screen and share with the programmers
. Perform unit, system and integration testing
. This system is built using Agile methodology and I facilitate as
ScrumMaster
. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Visio and PL/SQL
Universal Budget System:
The Universal Budget System provides court users with a tool to develop a
comprehensive and fully justified budget request. It has three levels of
users - the court agency, the review agency and the division of financial
management.
As Lead Analyst:
. I am involved in meeting with the user groups analyzing their change
and enhancement requests
. I participate actively in troubleshooting and issue resolution,
suggesting solutions
. Designing new screens
. Documenting and writing specifications for clear understanding of the
issue by both the user and the programmer
. Testing the system and maintaining it
. Manage the implementation of changes required for integration with the
new State Financial System
As ScrumMaster I am responsible for facilitating daily scrum, Sprint
Planning and Sprint Review meetings., managing JIRA board
KRONOS Timekeeping System:
The New York State Unified Court System automated the timekeeping system in
2003 for all employees working throughout the 62 counties of New York
State.
The project has been developed using the Kronos Timekeeper 4.3, with an
Oracle 9i database using over 15 servers
As Project Lead, I have been involved in this project since its infancy and
have been responsible for its timely and successful implementation
throughout the project life cycle.
. Involved in the planning and design phase with the Human Resource and
Timekeeping units and perform analysis of the various union rules
related to timekeeping, in order to configure the Kronos Timekeeping
System
. Was responsible for analyzing numerous union rules, configuring,
planning, execution, testing, rollout, and documenting the
application; set up the Kronos Data Collection Management application
including 5 servers and over 800 swipe devices, and maintaining them;
set up the Kronos Teletime application
. Designed and created interfaces using Kronos Connect, to generate
outbound file for payroll processing sent to Office of State
Comptroller, and inbound interface from the PeopleSoft HRMS
. Gathered and documented user requirement for new custom reports, and
build over 30 reports using Crystal Reports and Visual Studio
PeopleSoft Human Resource Management System
In 2009, the Division of Technology implemented the centralized Human
Resource using PeopleSoft HRMS 8.9 on Oracle 10g. PeopleSoft modules
implemented in the first phase are - HRMS, Base Benefits, and Position
Management and Administer Workforce.
As Project Lead:
. I worked with a team consisting of DoT staff, HR staff and consultants
to plan and implement this application
. Participated in fit-gap analysis to identify the customization
requirements
. Assisted the team of consultants to design and develop the project
. Validated functional and technical specifications
. Assisted in planning and designing interfaces both inbound and
outbound
ADMINISTRATIVE APPLICATIONS:
There are various programs and jobs that are run on the mainframe which
interfaces with other agencies, namely the Office of State Comptroller.
With the implementation of the State Financial System, many of these were
accommodated in UBS and other systems and were therefore obsolete.
As Analyst:
. I was responsible for analysis of all jobs that run on the mainframe
and need to be phased out
. Analysis, documentation and specification preparation of those modules
that used to run on the mainframe but are required to be built into
the Universal Budget System.

Department of Civil Service, Albany NY
Accident Reporting System
Accident Reporting System (ARS) Phase II was developed to maintain
injury/illness incidents reported by State employees when injured at work.
As PeopleSoft Technical Consultant and Lead Analyst/Developer, I was
responsible for:
. Analysis of the State Insurance Fund and Workers Compensation data
. Designing and developing a system to track the case from the time it
was logged till a final outcome was decided and follow up of the
decision was made
. Development and implementation of all interfaces with State Insurance
Fund and Workers Compensation Board.
. Database design, used PeopleCode to format and manipulate the data
. Wrote several SQR programs for managing interfaces and report
Sept '98- Dec '98 PeopleSoft Technical Consultant First Security
Corporation, (ADP), Salt Lake City, Utah
. Lead developer for customization and implementation of HRMS for the
Payroll and Benefits systems. Designed and created Technical
specifications from Functional specifications
. Designed inbound and outbound interfaces
Aug'93 -Mar'98 Developer Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company,
Jamshedpur, India The TELCO Hospital System was automated for which
the Out Patient Department was made on-line. The system included various
modules Security based Doctor's access to the system
