Commercial/Contractual Role

Conduct cradle to grave contract administration for EPCI Projects. Responsible for Supplier sourcing and

qualification, contract formulation and post contract award activities.

Develops scopes of work, bid evaluation criteria and lead bid clarification meetings.

Liaise with engineers in evaluating contractual, commercial, and technical proposals and ensure Operational

Excellence (OE) expectations are met.

Negotiates terms and conditions for various contract types, including Fixed Price, Cost Plus Award Fee,

Cost Plus Fixed Fee, and Time and Materials type contracts.

Plan and support project logistics program for EPCI and other major capital projects.

Development and implementation of contracting strategy and contracting plan.

Preparation of appropriate contract documents depending on Contract scope, value and allied risks; and

ensure corporate guidelines on contracting and supply chain are followed.

Coordinates contract review and modification/amendment in compliance with company policies, legal

requirements and customer satisfaction.

Drafts and review other contract documents, i.e. exhibits, contract variations/change orders, RWEs, CWEs,

AWEs, work orders, deviation requests, amendment, internal/external memo, management of

change(MOC),business case justification for exceptions, and JV Partners.

Develop analytical metrics for lessons learned from previous initiatives and develop strategy for

improvement opportunities based on current market conditions.

Prepares and issues monthly contract status reports capturing spend, exposure, progress, expiry dates, etc

and present same to the JV Partner.

Monitor contractor’s invoices based on agreed Milestone Payment Schedule (MPS) and Work Breakdown

Structure (WBS) and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and on cost.

Handles daily correspondence with contractors; manage and maintain all information to ensure accuracy,

completeness and consistency with project schedule and industry standard.

Maintaining efficient interface with E procurement, Insurance, Finance, Business Process and Compliance,

for quick resolution of issues that may arise in the performance of the contract.

Undertake contract close out activities claims review, negotiation, resolution and settlement.

Maintained Chevron safety standards and encouraged colleagues to uphold same.

Contract Negotiation Role

• Involved in the negotiation, management and completion of the following projects:

$700MM Escravos Gas Plant (Phase 3A&B) EPCI Project for 24” Import and Export Pipeline; and

-

modification of nine (9) platforms which will eliminate gas flaring and enhance domestic gas supplies in

Nigeria.

$50MM EPCI contract for Sonam Pipelines Project.

-

$10MM Geotechnical and Geophysical Survey contract for Okan NWP, Opolo, Malu.

-

$5MM Transportation and Installation (TIP) Contract of the prefabricated Meji/Dibi Living Quarters

-

module from Norway to Nigeria.
