Position: Recovery Counselor
Duties and responsibilities: In order to effectively assist clients
recovering or coping with mental illness, I provided a mix of case
management, therapy, skills training, medication training, enthusiastic
empowerment, advocacy, assessment and treatment planning.
While at Trilogy I was a member of the Cultural Competence Committee. My
main objective was to erase the stigma surrounding mental health. I was
also able to work with many professionals and fellow counselors who have
greatly impacted the way I deal with clients. I have gained a lot
experience in a short period of time. I have begun accumulating hours
towards my LCPC.

Duties and responsibilities: Adult Community Transition (ACT). I had many
opportunities to interact with a diverse population which greatly expanded
my communication skills and abilities. I worked with members of the
community and assisted in developing programs for our clients. I was
involved with job development. I observed clients on the job (job coaching)
and spoke with their supervisors. I have developed exercise programs for
adolescents with disabilities as well incorporating case files and personal
observations and assessments for the purpose of developing plans and goals.

Duties and responsibilities: On the Job Evaluation (OJE). Anixter's OJE is
an eight week training program. Some of my duties included completing
intakes, client evaluations, writing reports, incorporating assessments,
consulting with department supervisors, engaging in job seeker training,
and using counseling skills to improve work productivity.
