I managed a vein clinic for a group of doctors who treated patients for venous insuffiencey.

I marketed the vein clinic to increase volume by going to doctor’s offices and scheduling lunches for

venous presentations. Scheduled patient appointments and received authorizations for procedures. I

ordered medical supplies, catheters and medical equipment. As a Medical Assistant I would take pre and

post photos of patient’s legs. Measured and fitted patient’s for medical grade compression stockings.

Take vitals, set up the room for procedures. Prep patients using sterile technique for endovenous

ablations, and assisted the RPA and Physician during procedures. Called patients to follow up on how

their legs felt. I was the Spanish translator between patients, doctors and RPA.

I coordinated multiple office functions that focused on scheduling, registering patients and insurance

verifications. I became knowledgeable with CPT and ICD-9 coding for a very busy outpatient radiology

department. I served as primary point of contact for and between patients, administrative staff, physicians,

and technicians to facilitate proper lines of communication and problem solving, as well as serving as

Spanish translator. I have a strong knowledge of radiological procedures, scans and procedure

preparations. My versatile skills gave me the opportunities to serve other departments when needed in

Admissions, Scheduling, Oncology, Emergency Room, Physical Therapy, Medical Records and

Transportation department.
