The University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington, TX. (1995-1997) - Core Degree
Studies
I.E.C. Houston, TX. (2004-2005) 1-year Apprentice Electrician Program

Work Experience:
Jacobs Engineering Group - Deer Park, TX. (2012-Current) – Piping Designer III –
Responsible for the design of piping construction packages being issued as part of
complete IFC packages for over thirty-five various plant maintenance projects through-
out the Dow-Deer Park plant, Dow-Texas City Operations and Bayport Ethel-Oxide
Refineries. Worked on piping changes and modifications on projects ranging from
$300K to $2.5M. Up-keep of P&ID changes made to these projects and worked in
conjunction with the other discipline leads to issue packages in a timely manner. Used
design aid software such as PDMS and SmartPlant-3D to issue new construction
isometrics. Also used and assisted with the QuantaPoint and Prism software to use as a
3-D overlay on both design platforms. My direct supervisor was John Rodkey.
Draftec Partners - Deer Park, TX. (2010-Part-Time On-Going as needed) –
Independent Contractor/Design – Independent contractor detailing pipe spools for
various fabrication shops through-out the U.S. and Canada. Use of AutoCAD skills to
produce drawings for support details and piping components needed to be included
with these fabrication packages. Used AutoCAD and Acorn detailing software to draw
pipe spools and components. This is a part-time and as-needed weekend job. My direct
correspondent and work assignment contact is Ralph Madison.
SNC/Lavalin - Houston, TX. (2011 – 2012) – Internship 3-D Drafter and Designer – A 5-
month internship with SNC-Lavalin at the Exxon-Mobil Baytown Olefins plant. Used
AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to draft and detail components for steam cracking
furnaces. These details and drawings were used to modify and upgrade existing
components in current running plant assets. Modifications were needed to solve coking
issues in the furnaces. Went to work for Jacobs Engineering after completion of this
work process while also working at Draftec Partners.
Boccard Pipe Fabricators - Houston, TX. (2008 – 2011) – Pipe Drafter and Checker –
Drafted and detailed pipe spool sheets for in plant fabrication of piping. Used piping
isometrics to break down piping sections into sizes that could be shipped to the jobsite
for further assembly. Used AutoCAD and SpoolGEN software to issue piping spools.
Also was in charge of detailing various welded pipe supports (shoes, dummy legs, lifting
lugs etc.) to be sent to the shop for fabrication. Involved in the communication between
the shop and the engineering department and answered request for further information
by the fabrication leads to solve issues that arose during fabrication. My direct
supervisor was Teena Boren
Turner Industries, Inc. - Pasadena, TX. (2007 – 2008) – Pipe Drafter – Started my
career in the piping fabrication industry using AutoCAD to draw pipe spool sheets and
components for shop fabrication. Designed pipe spool sheets to customer piping
specifications. Designed and drafted pipe supports and various supporting components
to customer standards. Began my schooling with San Jacinto College during this time to
work my way toward a degree in Engineering and Design Graphics. This ultimately led
to an Associates of Applied Science Degree. Played a key role in the fabrication of pipe
spools for shipping to the various customer jobsites. My direct supervisor was Brian
Daigle.
My list of references is available upon request. Relocation and commuting is an open
option and would like to discuss. Currently live in Houston, TX but have family in
Oklahoma City. I am available for work.
