I currently own and operate a pet sitting service in operation since 2002

created in the states of Maine them relocated to Pennsylvania in 2004, then

with relocation in the state of Virginia in 2009 to present date.

My responsibilities include health surveillance of all rodent colonies on

the U-Penn campus, retro-orbital and submandibular bleeding for serologic

testing, organ and hair harvesting and fecal collection for parasitic

examination which include microscope work; coordinating rodent importations

through quarantine and providing rodent export services. Teaching rodent

handling and research techniques to research staff, laboratory animal

medicine residents and rotating students is a routine function of our

department.

Special Skills

At the University of Pennsylvania, I am the lead person responsible for all

infectious disease outbreak testing when needed. I specialize in un-

anesthetized blood collection from mice in our colonies. I play a

significant role in outbreak management and quarantine implementation for

mouse coronavirus (MHV), rotavirus (EDIM), pinworms (Syphacia obvelata and

Aspiculuris tetraptera), and fur mites (Radfordia spp. and Myobia musculi).

In March of 2003 I was sent to Yale University to learn cell culture and

serologic testing by indirect immunofluorescence (IFA) so I could help out

in our Diagnostic Serology lab. I was also sent to Charles River

Laboratries to learn how to do ELISA, and parasitology testing.

Experience at The Jackson Laboratory

Beginning in February of 2000, I was an integral part of Basic and

Alternative Animal Husbandry under experimental research conditions. My

responsibilities included the collection of experimental research data,

using sophisticated monitoring equipment to measure cage micro-environment,

accurate record keeping, literature searches, writing protocols for studies

to be approved by IACUC, and assisting in the development of strategies to

collect and manage research data. I also perform bio-methods for the

handling of mice including ear notch, retro-orbital bleeding, organ

harvesting, and urine and fecal collection.

Previous Experience

Three years in food service industry involving preparation, sanitation, and

inspection of food service.

Eight years in Cable TV Sales & Installations Contract Manager 1993-2001,

which duties included:

. Implementing successful contracts with major Cable TV companies in the

U. S. for sales, systems audit, and installations of cable TV

equipment and service.

. Hiring, training, and managing Cable TV crews of 4 to 27 personnel for

sales, audit and installations of cable TV service in residential and

business markets door to door.

. Work cross-functionally with the respective Cable TV company sales,

marketing, training, operations, and customer services departments.

I was successful in all these areas and increased sales penetration for all

Cable TV companies 18% to 46% in the assigned markets.
