EMPI Integration Team, March 2013 – February 2014

• Worked on the EMPI/CDR Integration Team (Enterprise Master Patient Index and Clinical Data

Repository).

• Managed HPM (High Performance Medicine) implementations utilizing vendor supported practice

management systems including third party vendors such as Athena & Salisbury PM systems.

• Tested and configured MU (Meaningful Use) tables to match HL7 specification from the PM systems.

• Ensured that all tables were correctly built in QA before moving to the production environment.

• Maintained project plan for implementation of PM system into the EMPI & LMR (Longitudinal

Medical Record).

• Assigned to manage CDR outbound interface for the Occupational Health Project (Agility

Application) this included taking raw HL7 lab messages and mocking them to produce desired

results for the lab interface, then testing the outcome in the QA environment before moving to

production.

• Ensured all the segments from the raw HL7 message were in the proper order coming into the EMPI

without presenting critical errors.

• Utilized E gate & Ensemble User Interface engines to troubleshoot issues with HL7 messages flowing

inbound/outbound to ancillary systems.

• Worked on validation testing for Newton Wellesley Hospital & Mass General’s EPIC revenue cycle go

live.

WINGATE HEALTH CARE, Needham, MA

Clinical Application Analyst, March 2012 – December 2012

• Worked implementing the MDI Matrix Achieve Electronic Medical Record for 21 long term skilled

facilities in New England, each facility had a specific roll out date with training prior to go live. Also

the Point of Care & Med Administration were modules scheduled in phase 2 of the implementation.

• Built/configured and tested each of the facility tables prior to go live.

• Provisioned users prior to go live and provided on site training for providers into the Clinical View

Portal.

• Worked to develop HL7 Interface with Pharmacy (West River Pharm) with all 21 Wingate Facilities.

• Familiar with servers, data centers, thin clients and implemented applications that require managing

the project from the beginning through the implementation phase.

COMMUNITY HEALTH SYSTEMS, Franklin, TN

Clinical View Analyst Deployment, December 2011 – March 2012

• Consulting position located in Tooele, UT building the Physician Clinical View Portal for Mountain

West Medical Center.

• Completed the build project under budget and 6 weeks were removed from the implementation

schedule.

• Provisioned users, built MEDHOST (HMS) clinical view portal that interfaced with the PACS system

to receive images into the Physician Portal.

• Managed individual departmental applications for upgrades/service packs. Implemented and

supported the All Scripts 11.2 version with addition of Medflow (UI) for Ophthalmology

• Responsible for the implementation of Pyxis products in a hospital setting.

• Pyxis products included: Pyxis (Device on Units), Connect (Prescribed documents into an electronic

queue), ParX (Wireless scanner for re order), Scrub Station (provides limited scrubs to staff), Supply

Station (Controls and accounts for all supplies) and Pharmacy support (Pyxis Server located in

Pharmacy).

• Project plan was maintained by Application Analyst on site performing the installations/meeting

minutes/ and setting the expectation for roll outs to other units within the hospital.

• Worked on training users on the new system in both classroom setting and on an individual basis

during the nursing shifts. Traveled throughout New England installing and training on Pyxis

products in a hospital setting.

• Responsible for weekly updates on lease equipment being installed for quota to be forecasted for the

district.

• Build and configured each of the Pyxis Medstations prior to Pharmacy Technician loading the

formulary.

• Provisioned end users and provided on site training for the medication pass on each shift.
