WORK HISTORY
1988 – present
GTM, LLC, Youngsville, North Carolina
CAD-MFG Engineer
Designed and manufactured museum quality WW1 models
Utilized AutoCAD to drive laser cutter, CNC and 3D printer for components.
Collaborate with museums (Smithsonian, Munich, Rhinebeck, RAF, etc..) worldwide
Cisco Systems, RTP, North Carolina 1996 - 2011
Technical Lead / CAD-MFG Engineer
Initially hired as a Senior CAD Engineer to implement the Cadence tool set, CAD process and
complete PCB designs. CAD designs ranged from 8-30 layer network cards containing high speed
buses, clocks, diff pairs, power supplies, clam-shell BGAs, DDR memory, impedance control,
constraint driven, etc. Promoted to Technical Lead where I expanded into global team coordination
working on new processes and core initiatives. Working with teams in Australia, China and India.
Led and implemented several department and companywide initiatives, such as DFX.DFA, QA and
mechanical conversions AutoCAD Pro-E CAD tools. The DFA reduced Cisco’s QA by 25%.
Utilized internal PLM tools for BOM and document management.
Received multiple awards and recognition for team work, outstanding performance and quality. Built
collaboration and partnerships outside of my group as well as developed forward-thinking planning
and implementation for the team.
Mentored manufacturing project engineers as well as hardware designers in CAD tool knowledge
and processes. Presented and organized internal / external presentations and white papers.
Successfully managed several CAD designs globally where the cross-functional team members were
in multiple time zones.
2005 – 2009
