PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2010 - Present: Buffington Associates, Jacksonville Beach, FL - Town Planner/Landscape Architect

Management and marketing of community planning and landscape architecture services. Provided schematic

and design documents, construction documents and contract administration services.

• Completed the above services for Unity Plaza/220 Riverside mixed-use development and streetscapes for

Jacksonville’s Brooklyn Neighborhood urban redevelopment project presently under construction. Services involved

designs, details and specifications for hardscape, lighting, grading, layout/dimensioning, planting, and irrigation.

2008 - 2010: Rink Design Partnership, Inc., Jacksonville, FL - Town Planner/Sr. Landscape Architect

Managed planning and landscape architecture studio including business development, workload projections

and project management. Provided new business development opportunities through the provision of new

urbanism and town planning design services.

• Provided town planning and transit-oriented development design services for the Jacksonville International

Airport’s 18,000 acre Aerotropolis. Established highest and best land uses through the application of Smart Code

and Form Based Code design principles for airport’s new urban city center and the future neighborhood ‘work

force’ communities surrounding the airport. Multi-modal transportation options provided connectivity for airport

and neighborhoods via high performance infrastructure corridors.

• Project documents included Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Specifications and

Contract Administration for projects ranging from office and flex- industrial development in the new urbanism

development of Panama Pacifico in Panama City, Panama to urban vehicular parking areas in Jacksonville, Florida.

2004 - 2008: Prosser Hallock, Inc., Jacksonville, FL - Town Planner/Sr. Landscape Architect

Project management of community and town planning services for numerous public and private projects.

Established business development plan to obtain municipal Evaluation and Appraisal Reports and Visioning

Plans in the States of Florida and Georgia.

• Managed and designed several town center plans for the City of Jacksonville, Florida’s Town Center Program.

Provided facilitation services with community stakeholders to develop community visions and plans for

revitalization of each of their neighborhoods through enhancement of public spaces.

• Provided town planning and new urbanism design services for the Bayard Community Plan and Report including

facilitation of stakeholder’s community vision and development of their community plan for the 481 acre historic

property. The plan provided a unique sense of place through its integration of a mixed-use town center, a transit-

oriented mixed-use center, multi-modal travel opportunities, neighborhood parks and walkable streets.

2002 - 2004: Genesis Group, Inc., Gainesville, FL - New Urbanism Planner/Sr. Landscape Architect

Managed new Gainesville, Florida office for providing planning, landscape architecture and civil

engineering consulting services. Provided business development, workload projections, project

management, and quality control.

• Projects included new urbanism community planning, transit-oriented developments, comprehensive planning,

land use planning, land use amendments, rezoning, planned unit development zoning and design, site planning and

park design.

• Project design documents included Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents,

Specifications and Contract Administration.
