Static data race analysis APIs based on Lex and Yacc for Complex SMP and Multithreaded
implementations - Nominated by INAE (IIT Delhi) for best National level thesis 2000
Indian National Academy of Engineering (IIT Delhi)
January 2000
The outcome was a set of APIs that were derived using Lex and Yacc for Complex multithreaded
implementations. The approach was to create a list of indexable tokens using lex and create actions triggered
for grammar expressions created using Yacc. The APIs offer flexible ways to associate recursive, iterative
grammar expressions for complex SMP based code (Windows driver code using spinlocks,
Mutexes/semaphores on all Posix compliant code, Platform specific locks).
