2nd Shift Supervisor
Oshkosh Coil and Spring - Oshkosh, WI - May 2008 to November 2013
Responsibilities
Issue job assignments, reviews, disciplinary actions, quality inspections, training and 1st aid. Also in process
quality inspections, start ups and final inspections, looping, trimming, baking, diacro and machine tender.
Accomplishments
I started with a 12 person shift and added 18 more people to supervise 30 people. I created 4 operators and
expanded the secondary positions be training and advancing the more experienced workers and training the
newer employees.
Skills Used
Leadership. Military background and some Technical training in the supervision role.
3rd Shift Supervisor
Zebra Technologies - Greeville WI. - June 2002 to March 2008
Responsibilities
Hiring, firing, payroll and disciplinary actions. 1st aid and CPR certified. Issue job assignments, training and
basic maintenance. Also operated blank die cutter machines. Fork lift certified.
Accomplishments
Helped in creating and training new positions on 3rd shift. ISO 9000 and lean manufacturing and improved
safety by working with the safety advocate with any shop floor concerns.
Skills Used
Leadership, communication and hands on training. Military background and some Technical school training
in the supervision field.
Machine Operator
Coating Excellence - Wrightstown, WI - October 2002 to May 2004
Responsibilities
Set up and operate a poly extruder, maintain quality, packaging and warehouse duties. Train back tenders
into operators, creating flexibility and allowing them opportunities to advance.
Accomplishments
I brought 12 yrs. experience, with new time saving ideas that were not present in the Company. Quicker die
purging ideas and faster and cheaper ideas for roll set ups.
Skills Used
I had 12 weeks training on machine programming, machine set ups, troubleshooting and principles of poly
extrusion.
Machine Operator
Thilmany Pulp and Paper - Kaukauna, WI - June 1989 to September 2000
Responsibilities
Started as a back tender, loading and unloading product on machines, prepping dies and assisting the operator
in maintaining productivity and quality of product. Had 4 years working as a poly supply person, pumping plastic
from train cars to silos, setting up mixers and supplying machines. Forklift certified, storage of plastic and
proper rotation of stock. Had 12 weeks training as a tandem extruder operator with the Egan computer system.
I was trained by operators with 25 to 45 years experience. Set up and operate extruders, some printing, Chain
hoist operation for chill roll changes.
Accomplishments
My biggest contribution was a new idea for die purging. That saved hours, sometimes days of machine down
time cleaning out the system.

The ability to learn from others, to work as a team and to be self sufficient.
