EXPERIENCE: Over ten years of experience in an intermodal and transportation environment

in areas of leading and training others for the use of heavy equipment. Over thirteen years of

actual crane operating experience. Highly experienced operator, Safety Team Leader, including

writing procedures and daily planning for the intermodal yard. Extensive experience in working

with all aspects of the transportation/railroad industry. Vast experience in providing a multi-

and scope of work. Responsible to go through all prints to ensure knowing all the plans and

details. Certified rigger, operator, welder, and machinery alignment. Able to gain respect

from the customer for someone that can work a crew of men and women to perform and

job task that they may have. Have the mentality that no job is to little and no job is to big.

March 2006 to 2008 - Hogenson Construction - Safety Supervisor, Asst Superintendent

Manage site crews, including spanish-speaking population, in the production of a new ethanol

plants. Perform various duties related to the job including hanging iron, light welding, millwright

work, and masonry projects. Perform various office duties including ordering supplies, securing

rental equipment, maintaining/submitting payroll, completing new-hire process for new

employees, and working with outside vendors.

March, 2004 to March, 2006 CSXI RAILROAD - Operations Manager

Managed train arrivals and departures through the Bedford Park intermodal yard.Managed

loading / unloading of trains to maximize corporate goals in meeting costumers’ expectations.

Ensured positive working environment for union and non-union employees; ensured proper and

continuous use of PPE. Performed monthly safety audits. Managed company employees and

external contractors in regards to manpower hours and compliance. Ensured all tie-down

inspections were completed timely and sufficiently. Coordinated with switch crews for daily

operations

Lined switches for any inbound/outbound trains. Performed functions of trainmaster on the

intermodal side. Coordinated with outside contractors in loading/unloading trains to ensure high

productivity and safety. Supervised contracted employees daily, including clerks and switch

crews. Responsible for training all new employees on Oasis. Responsible for managing yard in

all conditions while ensuring full yard operation at all times, including cleaning out switches

during inclement weather. Coordinated with trainmasters daily to ensure that every train was

safely maximized for cost effectiveness for both the company and customer. Responsible for

monthly lift counts to determine financial obligations to outside contractor(s).
