internal teams towards corrective and preventative actions and

facilitated suppliers on corrective and preventative action as well. I

worked closely with the customer on improvements and corrective

I was responsible for the supplier quality program performing audits

and supplier approval. I managed receiving inspection, returned goods

process and the failure analysis team. I was responsible for

corrective and preventive actions from suppliers. Secondary

responsibilities were manufacturing quality and I chaired the customer

complaint team. I led a Kaizen Team reducing failure costs over $9,400

processes, managed supplier monthly PPM reports and provided supplier

metrics for Quarterly Business Reviews. I performed onsite supplier

suppliers on corrective and preventative actions and verified the

automation and the implementation of a quality system. I worked

closely with warehouse management looking for ways to reduce cycle

time and costs.

Outgoing errors/defects were at 8 percent in 2003, and were below .1%

at the time of my departure. This was accomplished through the

implementation of a receiving inspection process, internal auditing of

processes, roving inspectors and the execution of documented

procedures and a quality system. EPI is the market leader in

prepackaged school supplies and educational products.

assessments, corrective actions and non-conformance reports. I was a

member of the Change Control Board, reviewing all drawings before

release. I was a Technical Liaison between suppliers and engineering.

engineering, quality and key suppliers. I was an Internal ISO Auditor.

received the Malcolm Baldrige Award in 1991and is ISO 9001-2008

I owned and managed an insurance agency, providing health, life and

investment products.

During this time of self-employment I contracted with Intertek as a

technical specialist and represented Lockheed Martin performing source

inspections and process audits at defense and space station product

suppliers.

Primary focus was quality engineering support to machining, welding

and plating operations. I was also responsible for planning and

facilitating problem solving skills training (Juran). I developed the

SPC training plan and procedures manual per Boeing's D1-9000. I was

the SPC Steering Committee Chair and was responsible for the

development, training and implementation of SPC in accordance with

Boeing's D1-9000. I was a member of the Simultaneous Engineering Team

for new seat programs. Weber Aircraft manufactures commercial

aircraft passenger seating.

1976 - 1989: Quality Engineer

Denison Industries, Inc.

I was responsible for the review of purchase orders, specifications,

blueprints, operating procedures, sub-contractual documents. I

developed quality plans, audited production processes. I was the

Employee Involvement Team Champion (EIT) training and facilitating

quality improvement teams and implemented SPC. I conducted capability

studies and was the technical advisor to the inspection department.

During my tenure with Denison Industries the company changed ownership

three times while I was holding positions as Chief Inspector, Quality

Technician and Quality Engineer over machining operations. I

performed first articles on open surface plate setups and manual

CMM's. Denison Industries manufactures aluminum castings with close

tolerance machining operations for the heavy equipment, military

defense applications and automotive industries and is ISO9001-2008

Registered.
