Promoted to painter on 08/29/2011. Moved to final

paint shop.

Duties: Preparation and painting of military

vehicles, shelters, trailers, parts and equipment.

Painting is done in a spray booth using a paint pot

and HVLP spray gun while wearing a supplied air

helmet. Work includes sanding, masking, pre-wash,

priming, and finish coating using various media

such as CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating),

urethanes, enamels, gloss, and semi-gloss paints.

Touch-up using spray, brush, and rolling. Trained

in camouflage scribing and painting, stencil making

and painting, blueprint reading. Star 4 Defense

painting certified. Received HAZMAT training.

Salary: $22.69 HR

Automotive Painter Helper

Work performed in the IOF Small Component Paint

Booth shop. Assist painters in preparatory work

by preparing surfaces, placing, setting up, and

adjusting items to be painted in the manner

directed. Work on the Wet Line (overhead conveyor

paint line) loading items to be painted and

Inspect painted items for finish quality, doing

minor touching up where necessary, and prep for

shipment to next shop area. Fill out all necessary
