EXPER IENCE SUM MARY
PROJECT LEADERSHIP and MANAGEMENT : Sixteen years of project leadership and
management primarily in chemical, fibers, and films. Project management also includes pulp and
paper, pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratories and medical device manufacturing. Project
management duties included business development, proposal preparation, budget creation and
control, schedule control, documentation, and close-out all completed following gated project
p rocesses. The results were well aligned, highly effective project teams that delivered excellent
value to the client within budget and on schedule.
P IPING DISCIPLI NE LEAD : This position had overall responsibility for the delivery of high
quality design packages, discipline scopes, budgets and schedules as well as staff development. The
designs ranged from schematics to fully detailed fabrication documents depending on client
requirements. Deliverables typically included P&ID’s, general arrangements, plans, section and
detail drawings, material specifications and support design. Many projects also included
equipment specification, stress analysis, bid packages and field support during installation. The
s taff development functions involved hi ring of permanent or temporary employees, performance
appraisals, and provision of t raining.
M ECHAN ICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS: T hese systems, involving building services,
p roduction utili ties, drainage, and environmental pretreatment were completed following the same
guidelines as the piping work described above. Additionally, responsibility for material balances,
system sizing, and sometimes permit ting were provided when required. Energy studies and
management were part of many of the mechanical projects.
