Responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and ensuring stability of
the local/wide area network infrastructure technologies to provide high
availability, fault tolerance, and scalability to support mission critical
business systems. Demonstrated a high level of competence in LAN/WAN
technologies, routing and switching platforms, troubleshooted critical
issues, and coordination of implementations. Represented the Engineering
Department working closely with regional Architects and Engineers in
designing, modeling, and implementing new technologies within the Market.
Performed moves, adds, and changes of equipment and systems specifically
following the designated change management policies.
Designed and implemented MPLS L2 VPNs for NYC regional commercial customers
including, Virtual Private Wire Service (VPWS), Virtual Private LAN Service
(VPLS), Hierarchical VPLS (HVPLS), VPLS Q-in-Q (802.1ad) and MPLS QoS over
IP VPN for Internet Enhanced Service (IES) customers. Introduced design
for MPLS Traffic Engineering and IP Fast Reroute for better core
redundancy, sub millisecond convergence, and increased reliability. Assumed
Project management role on various projects documenting requirements,
scope, schedule, testing and terms of delivery to ensure project is

Sole US network lead responsible for regional Datacenter and eight remote
offices. Tier 2 support for all LAN, WLAN, WAN, security, and telephony
issues. Ensured stability and integrity of corporate network environment
including day to day support and maintenance. Updated global security
policy to allow network access requests and provisioning of network
segments. Responsible for multiple office moves, installed MPLS and
telephony circuits, coordinated/designed physical layer patching for all
services, configured layer 2/3 equipment successfully meeting all agreed
timelines. Troubleshooted TCP GRE WAN optimization layer ensuring data
deduplication and optimization of WAN circuits. Designed and implemented
Datacenter 10gig upgrade for 32 TOR switches in clustered cfengine compute
system. Escalation point for any NFS, CIFS network issues with Isilon and
Netapp filer systems. Maintained Juniper wireless and Shoretel telephony
infrastructure, provisioning expansions, troubleshooting outages/issues,
documented systems. Responded to WAN BGP and planned/unplanned circuit
outages ensuring minimal network disruption. Network lead for quarterly
maintenance weekend activities providing support for various planned system
upgrades/optimizations. Maintained routers and switches code upgrades

and redundant Datacenters. WAN connectivity, WAAS acceleration, WLC
support, 6509 gigabit edge connectivity, f5 load balancing, perl script
automation for reporting and issue tracking. Team lead for all building
shutdowns, power moves, new installations, and spare inventory. Assisted
in wireless mobility anchor outages, and supported all wireless n/g/b/a
bands. Inventoried 2G legacy cellular infrastructure and began preliminary
designs for 3G/4G overlay on existing dual band cellular equipment.

Broadview Networks, King of Prussia, PA
Senior Team lead for Professional Services group providing design, support,
and repair for 1000+ clients complex WAN/LAN/Server projects.
WAN technical areas encompassed ISDN BRI to redundant DS-3, eBGP peering,
IGP route redistribution, and MPLS/VRF/mBGP.
LAN responsible areas included designing, scheduling, and implementing
WLAN, WLC, L2 access to L3 core switch, Cisco Telephony (CME, CM, Unity)
and various firewall support mainly focused on Cisco ASA. Primary lead
Engineer for multiple clients; WAN failover design and implementation,
extending dynamic routing (eBGP) to customer edge with floating static
routes pointing to DSL or 3G modem backup link; WLAN 200+ site deployment
within 2 month constrained schedule for critical middleware and POS system
redesign due to prior IT vendors security breach.
Revised, restructured, and standardized existing/non-existing documentation
for over 1000+ clients. Introduced change management policy for all
planned network modifications and all project based network
implementations. Advised senior management and Solution Engineering team
as primary technical point of contact for non-standardized customer
requests including complex escalations.
Lead Security Engineer designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise
IPSEC tunnels with ASA 5505 and 5510 endpoints.

Performed second level support functions for network layer 1-3 issues
supporting MPLS IP backbone, Core/Aggregate/Distribution and CPE routers,
switches, firewalls, load balancers. Primary support for enterprise DNS and
mail relay. Identified chronic problems and designed action plans to
identify and resolve the root causes for both internal and external routing
protocol issues. Performed RCOA (Root Cause Outage Analysis) reports on
network problems to management team for documentation and knowledge

Individually maintained 18 months straight Tier-2 support level of 98
percent complex ticket resolution SLA for 4 member team while management
seeked 3 candidates for open positions.
Escalated problems to the internal Network Engineering team and external
