refrigeration methods and applications to air conditioning, cryogenic methods, fan and duct

analyses, and solar energy.

UB MAE 467: Vibration and Shock

• Examined mechanical vibration and shock including free and forced, periodic, and aperiodic

vibration of single-degree and multi-degree of freedom systems.

UB MAE 438: Smart Materials

• Studied electrically conducting materials, piezoelectric and electrostrictive materials,

magnetostrictive materials, electrorheological and magnetorheological fluids, electrolytic

polymer gels, shape memory materials, intrinsically smart structural materials, optical fibers

and photoelastic materials.

• Designed and prototyped a modular wheelchair/walker device aimed at increasing mobility for

the elderly and disabled.

UB Undergrad Reverse Engineering Research Project

• Deconstructed a Honda/Honeywell H700EH portable generator for the purpose of illustrating

subsystem interaction as well identifying design flaws and suggesting improvements .

• Utilized Creo Parametric Modeling software to complete 60+ hour articulating tabletop design

project.
