Technician. Responsibilities include cleaning, calibration, maintenance,

monitoring, and troubleshooting for environmental rental remediation

equipment and operation such as handheld water quality instrumentation, air

monitoring devices, pumping equipment, and groundwater sampling.

Veolia Environmental Services, Creedmoor, NC

Environmental Specialist I. Conducted hazardous waste management with on-

site services. Responsible for administration of and compliance with, the

requirements for Environmental Technical Solutions of Hazardous Waste.

Competency skills required identifying and segregating hazardous materials

into compatibility groups, lab packing chemicals in both the medical and

industrial fields, consolidation of materials through pouring solvents into

appropriate containers for shipment with correct labeling, evaluating the

physical and health hazards indicted in each, recognize and use of proper

protective gear such as SCBA while handling materials, identify the hazards

of a chemical based upon its DOT numerical hazard class, placard and

Air Quality Technician. Responsibilities as a civilian contractor in

support of the Department of Defense. Work included ensuring government

compliance of air permits on EAFB and submitting compliance reports to the

Air Force. Coordinated and conducted Ambient Air Monitoring, provided

oversight on instrument calibration, corrective maintenance, performed

audits for PM10 and PM2.5. Responsible for data management, collection,

analysis, Quality Air coordination, and report preparation within

established guidelines and time restraints. Additional duties of escorting

non-security cleared personnel and County Air Quality Inspector around

base.

Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Edwards Air Force Base, CA

Air Quality Technician. CSC contracted until CH2M Hill replaced government

contract at EAFB in February of 2002. Civilian contractor in support of the

Department of Defense with work responsibilities identical to previous

description of employee of CH2M Hill.
