Recruited as first VP Human Resources & Legal Counsel to integrate, optimize, lead and manage HR functions
and reduce legal risks and costs at recently-merged, $350 million, private equity-backed direct mail marketer and
manufacturer, with 4,000 employees at seven businesses in eight states, Amsterdam and Milan sales offices, and a
China manufacturer. Reporting to CFO and CEO, and directly leading six regional human resources managers and
a compliance officer, and indirectly leading nine HR generalists and three environmental, health & safety
managers, methodically audited each business, identified system and people improvement opportunities,
prioritized highest-leverage improvement initiatives, and tenaciously led and managed change processes.

• Quickly established credibility throughout organization by conducting comprehensive listening tour to
determine organizational capabilities internal and external clients needed and expected HR to help create;

distributor and manufacturer with 1,300 employees at 22 domestic operations, a UK distributor, and a China
wholesaler. Reporting to President, and directly leading three regional human resource managers, seven HR
generalists, and an environmental, health and safety director, and indirectly leading 22 office managers,
thoroughly audited each business, identified and prioritized system and people improvement opportunities,
created short and long-term improvement plans, and persistently led and managed change processes.
Key Team Accomplishments:
• Led and managed all HR and legal aspects of numerous strategic acquisitions, saving time and legal fees;
• Created or optimized and standardized HR best practices across all existing and newly-merged businesses;
