Significant Projects:

SR 200 Milling and Resurfacing, Alachua County, Florida

FDOT District Two design services for two separate Mill and Resurface (M&R)

projects totaling 7.2 miles of rural and urban roadway. One of the projects

included a bridge over the CSX Railroad that added many challenges to the

design that are not typically associated with M&R projects. In order to

provide proper pavement cross slope correction without milling into the

existing ARMI layer, special profiles were developed for the inside and

outside edges of pavement for the vertical curves approaching the bridge.

Gardenia Trails PD&E Study, Lake County, Florida

FDOT District Five Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to

determine the preferred alignment for the 11 mile trail through the City of

Fruitland Park and the Towne of Lady Lake for an FDOT District 5 LAP

project. The final alignment included access to parks, historic areas,

multiple schools, and an optional bridge over US 441. The final report

included preliminary plans and details for major roadway crossings. The

project included multiple public workshops, public meetings and meetings

with the Lake Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization.
