Project Description
STC is Bahrain based Greenfield customer in telecommunication industry. STC
is a telephony services which provides mobile, broadband and fixed line
services in Bahrain under the brand name VIVA.
Have been onsite since implementation days and have covered the production
launch and level three operational supports. Some of the major
accomplishments were:
. Coordinating with the onsite team and the offshore team in
understanding the requirements.
. Plan configuration and implementation in provisioning.
. Early resolution to the all design and implementation related issues.
. Helped the design team to evaluate and fix various design gaps in the
existing modules of the project.
. Client interfacing for the design and approach.
. Configuration and development in a highly strict timeline.
. Onsite and offshore team coordination for requirement understanding.
Current role involved as a BRM developer placed onsite in the development
team of 12 people. Involved in client interfacing, configurations and
development.
Previously work as a Team lead of Billing MS Team for handling day to day
operations.
Responsibilities
. Extensive work on the pipeline price-plan configurations: New plans,
Add-On deals, devices configuration depending upon the competitive
market needs.
. Extensive work on the discounting configuration for Price plans:
Discount model/ selectors to cater to the different scenarios of usage
based discounting.
. Extensive work on iScript,iRule.
. Worked on custom opcodes for the catering to different CRs.
. Configuration of the Realtime Pipeline to cater to the realtime
discounts such as Billing Time disocunts.
. SIP/ISDN Trunk: Fixed Line Implementation:
. Rating: Creation of the parsing pipeline for converting the
mediation feed CDR to the Sol42 CDR format for the sending to
the rating pipeline.
. Fixed Number Portability: Handing of the port-in, port-out and
blling resolution {suspension/resumption scenarios} for the
fixed line numbers of the home and donor network.
. Shared Broadband: Use of the disocunt-sharing concept between the
child accounts. The broadband data would be shared between the primary
and secondary accounts.
. Front ending the entire Billing activities including starting from pre-
bill checks, figuring out eligible list of customers to be billed and
customers to be excluded from billing. Bill Cycle execution. Post-bill
activities including invoicing (invoice generation, export and
verification) and generating the post-bill report (the most important
and business critical report). Resolving billing observations based on
the reports, fixing invoice XMLs in case of discrepancies in invoices
and delivering the invoices to client on time
. Work on Patch set upgrade from 4 to PS 12 (code merging and testing
for pipeline side as well as portal side).
