GLOBAL LOGISTICS MANAGER

• Identify new carriers and freight forwarders, obtain quotes, and negotiate rates for both

inbound and outbound freight traffic (domestic and international).

• Quote, schedule, and follow up on emergency and special customer order shipments.

• Prepare and/or is responsible for preparation of all shipping documentation, including bills of

lading, commercial invoices (HTS and Schedule B codes), SEDs, etc.

• Maintain contact with customer forwarder/broker on international shipments, both inbound and

paperwork and documentation is in order, and product arrives on time.

• Communicate with Sales and Customer Service to determine shipping priorities, work

assignments and shipping methods.

• Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with specifications (i.e. packaging).

• Maintain adequate and accurate files and documentation that will pass government

transportation audits (i.e. U.S. Customs).

• Handle claims for damaged or lost goods.

• Audit, or arrange for auditing of freight invoices to assure accuracy and the most cost effective

methods of transportation are being utilized.

Manage and maintain corporate fleet vehicles and assure compliance with the rules and

regulations of the Department of Transportation.
