Military/Volunteer Experience

Family Readiness Group volunteer since 2004, officer almost as long. Member of the Treasury
Committee then Head of Treasury for HHB 1-126th FA in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Also volunteered
with Delta Company FRG during deployment and took over as Secretary while maintaining
Head of Treasury role. Moved to Pennsylvania in July 2007 just before reformation of Alpha
Battery 1-108th FA FRG and became Co-Chairperson and have been ever since.

Intern
Assisted in the Exceptional Family Member Program by contacting EFMP families to see if they
needed services. Assisted in guiding the families through the enrollment process and learned
how to advocate for services for them and attended SNAP (Special Needs Accommodation
Program) meetings for EFMP children attending the post childcare center. Assisted in the Family
Advocacy Program by taking part in the Domestic Violence Awareness month campaign and
learned how to conduct interviews and create safety plans for domestic violence victims.
Attended trainings for sexual assault taught by Russell Strand, SHARP (Sexual
Assault/Harassment Response Prevention), domestic violence lethality assessment, suicide
prevention and child abuse awareness, identification and reporting. Attended meetings on sexual
assault and domestic violence. Worked 20-30 hours a week.
