Education:

Master of Science in Systems Engineering (GPA: 3.40) Florida Institute of Technology, Dec 2013

Master of Science in Engineering Management (GPA: 3:40) Florida Institute of Technology, Dec 2013

Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering Florida Institute of Technology, July 2011

Related Educational Projects:

! Conducted system safety/reliability analysis of Automatic Train Control (ATC) system for GE transportation in

Melbourne Florida, which involved application of safety concepts, such as preliminary hazard list (PHL), Interface

Hazard Analysis (IHA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Operating and Support

Hazard Analysis (OSH&A), and Safety Requirements/ Criteria Analysis (SRCA).

! Evaluated thesis work on different composite types with carbon – polyester composition to determine statistical

difference in mean tensile using Minitab 16 statistical software. Demonstrated concepts such as 2 sample t-test,

analysis of variance (ANOVA) and randomized complete block design (RCBD) for assessing difference in mean

tensile strength, operating characteristic (OC) curve for data sampling and control charts for statistical data control.

! Interpreted thesis work on application of systems engineering decision-making techniques to reduce overcrowding in

emergency department for Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida to increase throughput of the

system. Optimization solver was used to provide a better staffing solution and Minitab 16 was used to furthermore

prove the credibility of the staffing solution obtained from the optimization. Utilized concepts such as boxplots, two

way ANOVA, Tukey’s test statistics, main effects plot, model adequacy, box-cox data transformation and operating

characteristic curve to perform complete statistical analysis.

! Demonstrated systems engineering disciplines throughout the system development life cycle process in order to

develop a graduate level project. Project involved implementation of engineering concepts, such as project scope

definition, CONOPS, identification of stakeholders and their needs, functional and non-functional requirements, A

and B specifications, system design and sub-system design level reliability analysis using mean time between failure

(MTBF) and mean time to failure (MTTF) methodology, life cycle cost estimation using SLIM, COCOMO and Holistic

modeling techniques for the optical imaging system of a UAV.

Research Requirements Engineer Developed: Requirements using Volere Specifications for secure access systems

to meet the stakeholder’s needs. Managed the requirements analysis project which included goals & scope of the

system, stakeholder needs assessment, specification review, risk assessment, fit criterion and quality assessments,

requirements trawling techniques, functional and non-functional requirements development, quality gateway for

requirements, missing components, and requirements tracing.

Work Experience:

Florida Institute of Technology Melbourne, FL

Graduate Teaching Assistant Aug 2011 – Dec 2013

! Teaching students in various engineering courses via one to one sessions as well as teaching lab.

! Administered the facility in teaching students to use lab equipment properly while following standards as well as

MSDS sheets.
