WORLEY PARSONS 2009-2011 Edmonton Mod Yard
Worked at the Worley Parsons Mod yard the Majority of my Apprenticeship where I worked as a welder's helper. Learning the proper techniques of setting up and prepping pipe welds. I've watched under my own welding helmet as they followed the proper welding procedures and the process of welding all sorts of sizes of pipe and fittings. Double checking the measurement of the fittings. Spent half as a welder helper on the fabrication side helping my welder with the small spools, then moved to the Mod side where we placed the spools and welded a fair share of the Large pipe. My duties also consisted of checking the temp of the pipe, properly clean welds between each passes and proper grinding of the root pass. I also welded on a lot of the guides, making sure my welds were free of porosity and undercut. Building majority for Suncor.
ENER TECH WELDING & MFG. INC. 2012 Nisku Alberta Shop
Ener tech I did most of my welding with Mig. Ofcourse following the proper weld procedures. Majority of our welding was small fabrication jobs...Ladders, roof panels, hand rails ex.
VERTEX RESOURCE GROUP 2012-2013 Calmar Alberta Shop
Vertex was all mig welding. Worked in the shop. We welded galvanized structures, such as trusses, ladders, headers ex. We built the majority for Embridge. All following proper weld procedure and double checking measurements.
