THD

in Multilevel Inverters

Description:

10. In this thesis THD and switching losses in conventional two level

inverters with multi level inverters at different switching frequencies

are compared.

11. Use of filters has the disadvantage of large size and cost where as use

of PWM techniques reduce the filter requirements to zero.

12. Two level PWM inverters provide less distorted current and voltage but

at the cost of higher switching losses due to high switching frequencies.
