I am seeking employment that will utilize my experience and knowledge. It
stems from my use of computers since 1995 and I have performed such tasks
as installing/upgrading software and installing/repairing/upgrading
computer hardware and peripherals. I was also employed as a computer
helpdesk support technician for almost 4 years. I have used a variety of
Windows operating systems from 3.1 to Windows 7 and have gained a multitude
of experience from my college courses including programming in Visual
Basic.Net, Java, HTML, PHP, MySQL and database management.
My 15-year span in the military has produced many desirable characteristics
sought after by employers including loyalty, dependability and integrity.
I am highly organized, able to adapt to different situations and work well
under pressure. I have the ability to supervise or follow the leadership
of others. One of my greatest joys comes from helping others solve their
computer problems. While working for ATX, I encountered many different
types of client personalities and skill levels and was able to help the
majority of them work through the issue courteously, no matter how rude the
client tried to be.
During the pursuit of my AAS Degrees in Computer Information Systems and
Information Technology, I have maintained a GPA above 3.75 and demonstrated
my desire to achieve academic excellent in all my courses including
constant punctuality and attendance. I passed the Microsoft certification
exam on the first try proving I have the aptitude to work hard toward
accomplishing difficult challenges. I am definitely ready to expand my
skills and knowledge in an exciting career within your organization.
After you review the attached resume, I would appreciate an opportunity to
discuss my experience and skills with you for this position or any other
job opening you feel I may qualify for. If you would please call me at
your earliest convenience to arrange an interview and I will be happy to
answer any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Keith Mathis
