BACKGROUND SUMMARY
Currently serving as Principal Consultant with Bluepoint Consulting Inc., an IBM Business Channel Partner

Previously employed with IBM Global Services as a Senior IT Specialist on the DB2 National Consulting
Practice team. Career history comprises 25 plus years experience in the full spectrum of database design,
implementation, and administration. Skill set also includes a broad ranging knowledge of data modeling,
production database management, and advanced performance tuning techniques. In addition to core
competence in the areas of database design and administration, have developed particular expertise with DB2
database performance enhancement and troubleshooting on AIX and Windows platforms. Entire skill set has
been evidenced in the performance of numerous exceptionally successful service engagements for a wide
variety of IBM’s most valued clients. Possess a demonstrated mastery of both DB2 EE and ESE DPF (parallel)
editions. Additional areas of expertise include: multi terabyte data warehouse design and implementation,

Siebel, SAP, Peoplesoft, Lawson, Baan), and migration to DB2 of complete large scale Oracle and Informix
database systems. Initial part of career involved over ten years application software development experience
as a Sr. Systems Analyst in COBOL/CICS/DB2/JCL/ISPF mainframe environments.

DB2 services delivered on a recent and typical project have included:
• Database design, implementation and operational support for the DoD’s TRICARE (healthcare) Decision
Support System which resides nationwide on several hundred V8 and V9 DB2 EE and ESE DPF
(parallel) database nodes
• Design upgrades to data stores, data marts and enterprise level data repositories
• Integrating DB2 with hardware environment comprised of hundreds of UNIX (predominantly AIX) high
end computing platforms including multiple p795 and p690’s
• Incorporation of Enterprise Storage Server systems such as EMC and IBM’s Shark arrays to provide
database capacity expandable to 55 Terabytes in several instances
• DB2 configuration for support of Content Manager, SAP, Siebel CRM, and PeopleSoft
Provided services such as these for a number of Fortune 500 companies in the financial, manufacturing, and
health insurance sectors, among others.
