Rendered strategic oversight to the successful execution of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) which included developing a line-by-line measurement by expertly utilizing Lean tools such as 5 why’s, 6s, real time down time tracking, Kaizens, equipment strategies, Gemba’s, and standardized work that rolled into autonomous maintenance to establish and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by 15% across the plant.

Brought significant savings of $2M in a year by rebuilding large industrial oven and resulted in a large yield increase.

Generated and imposed a HACCP oven program which was consequently implemented throughout several plants for food safety.

Earned promotion to maintenance superintendent in 1999; redeployed from Michigan to Missouri to manage a new plant with 700 employees, generating approximately 150 million lbs. per year of finished product.

Successfully established a new plant in Missouri from ground up, in which business primarily involves managing and hiring a world class work force.

Maintenance Superintendent/Supervisor 1999–2013

- Oversaw the construction of Sara Lee’s new meat processing plant from initiation to completion, encompassing safety, PSM, project management, training, budgeting, CER, human resources, and hazardous materials (HazMat).

- Obtained comprehensive knowledge of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) and food safety requirements.

- Provided expert oversight to a team consisting of 66 hourly, 8 direct, and 4 indirect.

- Pioneered the execution of Maximo as the company’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), consequently being transformed into a Megamation system.

- Participated and developed the DLMS board meetings with the team to plan and discuss KPI’s and work procedures through a CMMS program and provide resolutions to cross-functional issues.

- Held full accountability in handling payroll and budget; identifying growth opportunities; and evaluating daily downtime.

- Conceptualized and implemented TPM strategies covering operations, quality assurance, and maintenance essential to achieve company goals and increase OEE.

- Prepared and submitted CER projects and LRP for the Maintenance Department.

- Functioned effectively as supervisor, carrying out key tasks such as managing a team of 20 personnel, processing payroll, arranging schedules, settling issues, interacting with vendors, and handling budgets.

- Gained in-depth familiarity on various systems such as conveyors, ovens, stuffing, mix and grind, and vacuum take away systems as well as packaging machineries.

- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical expertise in designing, installing, and implementing control and power circuits as well as automation programming.
