AgustaWestland, Italy (2011 – Present)

Tasked to lead and to organize all the engineering design activities for the AW189 new helicopter product.

Responsible for project management integration and reporting directly to VP of Engineering.

Assigned project milestones and planned the Engineering activities accordingly in EVMS. Identified critical paths and

promoted correction strategies and alternative solutions to stakeholders and senior management.

Defined budget and resources.

Led the Configuration Change Management Board and effectively managed the outcomes throughout engineering and

operations depts. Communicated and coordinated all qualification milestones with civil aviation authorities (EASA, FAA,

TCCA). Interfaced customers to tailor any detail on their technical requirements.

Assigned roles and responsibilities within the project-engineering department. Performed skill-set/manpower gap analysis.

Established functional groups and delegated authority. Interviewed, coached, counseled, and reviewed personnel.

Managed all Sustaining & Designing Engineering activities for AAC Helicopter Company.

Founded and led the Sustaining Engineering office reporting directly to VP of Operations. Screened and evaluated all

potential acquisition candidates and advanced one candidate to management. Led project teams in designing customization

within multi-disciplinary aerospace contexts. Directed all the customer technical communications throughout all

commercial phases, from contract bid to product delivery. Coordinated all sustaining tasks along production build cycles.

Planned, executed and delivered all design developments and civil certifications on single-engine and twin-engines

helicopter platforms (AW119 and AW139) reducing cost and time-to-market.

Led and promoted the “continuous improvement” approach as main pillar in any design and modification activity.

Sr. Project Engineer

Agusta Spa, Italy (2005 – 2007)

Successfully supervised all technical activities related to the AW139 medium twin-engines helicopter project development.

Formal interfaced to all the civil certification authorities worldwide. Chaired the Japanese helicopter validation phase as

well as the Canadian and Brazilian ones.

Analyzed project requests and proposals and engineering data to determine feasibility, producibility, cost, and production

time. Directed and coordinated activities of engineering to design, fabricate, modify and test all the auxiliary equipment for

the AW139 helicopter (Hoist, Floatation, Search Light, Tactical and satellite comm.)

Supervised the helicopter performance improvements phase.

Reviewed performance reports and documentation from customers and field engineers, and inspected malfunctioning or

damaged products to determine issue and to address solution. Planned and coordinated activities concerned with

investigating and resolving customers' reports of technical problems.

Led the completion of the Japanese Coast Guard helicopter directly on customer facility base.

Managed the military customizations for US CPB, IAC and UAE Air Force.
