Industrial Engineer & Project Manager - Aero Space & Government Division.

Duties included the warehouse design, costing, sales presentation

preparation. In addition, became the Project Manager responsible for

building construction or modification, gathering software requirements,

written procedures for all activities of operation up to and including

final ISO certification in full operation.

. Project Lead on software solution developed to manage multi-

level bill of material packing requirements for a Centralized

Operation for Boeing. The project was completed on time and under

budget. The facility is now considered to be the "Show Case" for

visiting customers.

Direct Mail Holding, LLC (DMH) is a full service direct mail

manufacturing company that mails over 1 billion pieces annually through

serving the fundraising, financial, healthcare, publishing and consumer

products markets. DMH acquired Focus Direct Inc. located in San Antonio

TX in 2004 increasing the total number of manufacturing facilities to six

in the USA.

Director Engineering/Project Management DMH (2004-2008)

As Director of Corporate Projects reported directly to the CEO/President

. Designed, programmed and integrated a bar code based automated

mail tray routing system.

. Project Manager for standardizing plants on a single software

application used for developing promotional and transactional on-

demand publishing applications.

. Developed a variety of web based production control applications

utilizing ASP and MS SQL Server.

. Developed a multiple of inline printing press modifications

tripling printing press speeds..

Software Development/New Products Manager FOCUS DIRECT, Inc. San Antonio,

TX (1999 - 2004)

Responsible for the startup of edataTRACK, an Application Service

Provider (ASP) and database management division of Focus Direct Inc.

. Lead a Development team to create multiple Web based software

solutions for customers such as Verizon, Ralston Purina and St Jude

Shrine.

Operations Manager FOCUS DIRECT Inc. (1992 - 1999)

Responsibility for a variety of plant operations including Data

Processing, Laser Production, IT Development, MIS, Engineering and

Facility Maintenance. Sales increased from $4 to $25 million during this

period.

. Managed the start up of a Data Processing Center and High Speed

Laser Personalization Department.

. Implemented a JIT system on the highest volume production line

resulting in a reduction in cycle time from 3 days to 2 hours.

Capacity improved by 400% with a 50% reduction in direct labor.

. Researched and formed a Maquilladora operation (Focus Direct SA

de CV) in Nuevo Laredo Mexico.

. Managed the relocation of the manufacturing plant. Project

scope included $2,500,000 building acquisition.

TEXAS (1/89 - 1/92)

Production Manager (1989 - 1992)

Responsible for the manufacturing of twenty plus automotive electronic

products. Managed a staff of 15 process engineers and 100 direct labor

employees with an $8.2 million operating budget.

. Reported to AIEG executives on P&L and Six Sigma performance

monthly on behalf of Plant Manager.

. Cross functional team member charged with producing Motorola's

first automotive part for Honda of America. The products cycle

time was the lowest in the division and meet Six Sigma quality

goals.

. Project Lead for the re-layout of plant equipment to facilitate

JIT (pull system) manufacturing techniques. A 31% reduction in

floor space with significant cycle time reduction across all

products was realized. The reduction of WIP also made a

significant impact to defect levels across the plant.

. Selected to be the division's representative to participate in

extensive training on the Toyota Manufacturing System. Training

provided by actual Toyota Engineering Executives.

. Taught Cycle Time Reduction to production employees. Initiated

a self-directed work team, which immediately reduced cycle time

from seven to two days.

Unionization attempt. Provided employees the opportunity to voice

concerns and provide solutions to chronic quality problems. Team

initiated process changes that reduced two major defects leading to

a $574,000 annual cost reduction in material waste.
