Release Facilitation and Issue Resolution: As a Gatekeeper for the Verizon

Enterprise Portal:

. Key player in support of monthly iterative releases, as well as quarterly

releases. Assisted the business in determining what functionality was

required right away and what could be pushed to another release. Managed

business expectations regarding what was feasible and what was not,

recommending workarounds for processes that could not be supported

immediately by IT. Kept upper management closely apprised of progress,

Telecom Billing Systems: As part of responsibilities on the Verizon

Enterprise Portal, was extensively involved with the 12 billing feeds

supported by the VEC Portal. The area of responsibility was twofold:

ensuring data compliance with incoming orders to applicable billing systems

via the iOrder module of OrderPro, and the FCC-mandated construction of the

Database of Record for all billing systems enterprise-wide. See page 3 of

for experience on Worldcom's TCOMS provisioning/billing system.

Portals, Dashboards and Metrics:

. Extensive experience in enterprise portals, both for customer use and

tracking metrics for the executive level. Created screen mockups to

assist stakeholders in understanding what they were requesting, and made

suggestions to cover functional gaps or enhance the user experience.

quickly gather business requirements and web usability needs and

dramatically revise the existing user interface to take advantage of

current user interface best practices, and usability features. Created

Functional Design Lead for various projects in support of the Verizon

Enterprise Center (VEC), the Enterprise Portal for Verizon corporate

accounts. Also responsible for functional requirement for the Verizon

Business Central, the internal administrative module of the VEC. Duties

included:

. Member of VP-level team responsible for troubleshooting business process

areas that were candidates for improvement/automation in order to comply

with FCC mandates regarding risk management of proprietary data in 12

billing feeds by employing ITIL standards. The FCC mandated included the

requirement to establish a Database of Record for all Enterprise orders

for all billing feeds. Chaired the Functional and Design calls of this

for Desktop Originator/Desktop Underwriter (DO/DU). DO/DU is Fannie Mae's

mortgage underwriting application that utilizes ASP pages and .NET

infrastructure to pass both XML data and flat files to the Sybase backend

services for processing. The backend services include the Underwriting

Knowledge Base, the Credit Report engines, the Automated Property Service

(APS), and Billing Services. This was a Fannie-Mae pilot project to

implement ITIL standards to describe service standards across applications

with a backend storage, strictly manage security protocols that all

applications must adhere to, and continuous process analysis and

improvement,

Conducted requirements review meetings with the business stakeholders to

ensure that the requirements document contained the appropriate level of

accuracy and detail. Created the GUI prototype and supporting use cases

(both business and system) for the design walkthroughs, and wrote the

functional specification document, including UML modeling of the workflow

from the single sign-on experience to data retrievel from the datastore.

Responsible for validating that the GUI accurately maps to the newly-

designed workflow, and that the new dataset meets backend requirements. A

key consideration was to ensure that the data was MISMO-compliant.

Led the CTS (Customer Tracking System) module team of KONNEX for four

years, a $30 million, Association-wide COTS client-server application

development effort to facilitate data sharing and track member activity and

revenue for AARP's 30 million members. Conducted the requirements gathering

and analysis, application design, and testing. Acted as liaison/coordinator

for development staff consisting of several large teams of consultants in

Washington, DC and Long Beach, CA to facilitate the appropriate
