EXPERIENCE SUMMARY: Extensive experience in product design and tooling

design in the aerospace,

consumer electronic products and toy industries. More then 6 years of

drafting room supervisory experience.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

. Mechanical/Manufacturing: Designed and developed complex mechanical &

electronic products and provided liaison

with over-seas and domestic production facilities for debug and

production start-up, involving plastic injection molding,

blow molding, roto-casting, die-casting and other related processes.

Supervised designers and drafters, performing production support

engineering and generating production drawings to

ANSI Y14.5 for various air borne radar systems.

Designed electronic packaging, connection systems, test fixtures,

component racks, production tooling,

mechanisms, tolerance control equipment, sheet metal products, electronic

push button switches, plastic injection

moulds using G D & T and created flow diagrams. Also coordinated the

creation of Stereo-lithographic prototypes.

Researched, developed and directed implementation of the first paper-less

engineering change system at Hughes Aircraft.

. Electronics: Generated schematics, wiring diagrams and printed circuit

board layouts.

. Software: Familiar with AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, Catia &

Unigraphics, Pro-Engineer, Solid Works,

and most popular Windows & Mac OS applications.

. Patents: 4364619 Interconnection system for flexible circuit board

managing construction of production tooling and handling equipment used

for satellite integration, and testing.

This small Aerospace Company designs and builds radar and telemetry

antennas and associated systems.

Design/Drafting Department Supervisor. Organized and supervised a

drafting/design team

engaged in the creation of all production drawings for radar &

telemetry antenna systems and transitioning

the company from 2D to 3D parametric design procedures.

4/'98 to 7/'02: Boeing Space Systems (formally Hughes Space &

This division of Boeing designs & builds commercial & military

spacecraft. Design Engineer (Consultant), then hired in as Staff

Engineer in the Ground Support

Systems group, designing & managing construction of production tooling

integration. Transferred in '01 to RF electronic product design group,

designing high precision RF receiver

packaging and test fixtures for high frequency micro miniature

military communication satellites.

Responsible for developing new

department and model shop.

1/'91 to 3/'96: California Cellular Phones, Los Angeles, CA

Owner/Manager. Generated sales and provided service and activation

support for a large customer base.

Also managed accounting, customer service, purchasing and staffing

functions.

4/'84 to 1/'91: Hughes Aircraft Co. (Radar Systems Group), El Segundo, CA

An aerospace/electronics company. The Radar Systems Group (now

Raytheon) specializes in the design and manufacture

of airborne and mobile ground based radar systems. Started as

Engineering Design Specialist, then promoted

in '85 to Design Engineering Department Supervisor. Responsible for

supervision, staffing and quality for

approximately 55 designers performing product design and manufacturing

support engineering.

8/'83 to 4/'84: California. R & D Center, Culver City, CA

A research & development firm engaged in the development of toys and

consumer electronic products for

several large manufacturing companies. Design Engineer. Responsible for

the design and development of

mechanisms and the making of layouts and preliminary drawings of new

products. Checked drawings and design

concepts for accuracy, produceability and cost. Supervised and

coordinated creation of prototypes for marketing

presentations.

detail production drawings.

then cross-trained into electronics and was reassigned to MATC (Dover

AFB) as Radar & Inertial Navigation

Systems Repairman. Honorably discharged with the rank of Staff

Sergeant.
