Thermodynamics:
• Designed a thermal pond power plant which had to use the Rankine Cycle and operate at certain inlet and outlet water
temperature as well as provide a good efficiency
• Senior Project: In charge of designing a Laminar and Turbulent Staggered Pipe Cooling system. Designed and then
modeled individual components using Solidworks and managed the assembly operations such as the staggered pipes,
fan blowers, vents, and piping.
Thermo-Fluid Design:
• Senior Project: Designed and incorporated numerous valves such as bleed, isolation, check, strainer, and reducer valves
in a series of ground loops and their respective cooling and heating systems.
• In charge of drawing and modeling the piping and valving of the systems on AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Machine Design:
• Senior Project: Designed and engineered an automatic car jack system that operated on a drill motor.Also was in charge
of the working Solidworks Model.
• Tested the jack by performing stress, strain, and failure calculations
• Final model consisted of the jack connected to a drill motor on the bottom plate with a connection to a remote which
lifted or lowered the jack. The jack also had a power cable which could be connected to the auxiliary power in cars
Groups and Associations:
• Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE):
Communications Chair: In charge of the local UNO SHPE webpage
Updated the webpage weekly with events and news regarding SHPE
In charge of designing and creating posters and ads to print and paste around campus for recruitment and student
participation
