Hired as Cafe Director of the corporation’s flagship coffee shop; lead twelve baristas
toward improving organization, efficiency and customer service. With sales increases
and successful new products, was promoted to Area Manager to also lead the west
Madison location and Farmers Market concession. Developed a modular training
program for new baristas and, working with consultants, successfully implemented a
strategic hiring process focused on improved hospitality and customer service. Serve

2003–2005 LaserTech, Madison, Wisconsin:
Operated a computerized bulk mail print and sort system producing sequenced
statements.
1994–2002 Game Plan Incorporated, Waupaca, Wisconsin:
Developed, owned and operated a small events and promotions company. Secured
special events contracts to promote products and deliver entertainment packages for a
variety of clients. Contracted as a print and film model/spokes model through several
Wisconsin and Illinois talent and model agencies (addendum follows).
1985–1993 Geneva Fitness & Racquet Center, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin:
As Director of the fitness, racquet sports and outdoor recreation division, lead a staff of
twenty in growing the local membership from 800 to over 1500 members within two
years. Developed and implemented a cost effective college intern program serving 2 6
college students each semester. Created and published a monthly member newsletter.
1981–1985 Americana Resort & Convention Center, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin:
Employed as Resort Recreation Director to manage; 4 swimming pools, bike and boat
rental outlets, ten outdoor tennis courts, a golf driving range and guest activities
program. Developed script and conducted bus tours for the 1100 acre/350 room resort
property. Promoted to Resort Management Trainee and assigned to work each position
of all departments over a one year period. Upon completion of the trainee program,
promoted to Resort Night Manager to oversee evening resort operations.
1977–1982 University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, Stevens Point, Wisconsin:
Earned a B.S. Degree majoring in Education and selected as top graduate in the major
by HPERA department faculty. With a 3.8 GPA, also was recipient of the UWSP
Albertson Award for outstanding academic, campus and community leadership.
Selected and served for one year as President of Leisure Time Activities University
Activities Board. With three area organizations, worked throughout college as
lifeguard, CPR and first aid instructor.
Interests: Biking, kayaking, scuba diving, downhill skiing, tennis and most outdoor sports.
