Job Title: Technical Support Specialist (Promotion, June 2010- August 2011)

Responsibilities: Provide 2nd and 3rd level Technical Support to customers across the United

States and Canada. Support includes, but not limited to, local area network support (CISCO),

repairing laptop, desktop, printer, and multifunction hardware (primarily IBM/Lenovo and HP

vendor specific). Responsible for all hardware configuration which includes imaging with known

vendor solutions such as Norton Ghost, as well as proprietary Sandvik solutions and device

encryption using industry standards such as Safe Guard Easy/enterprise (Windows XP), Sophos

(Windows 7). Job functions include purchasing of all hardware, as well as maintaining active and

historic inventory records. I am Consistent in providing customer satisfaction and ensuring that

all incidents, requests, and orders are handled with the highest priority. Visiting satellite Sandvik

companies are also common, as have I been given the opportunity to personally oversee three of

Projects

June 2010- December 2010:

Once promoted to the Technical Support group, I assisted in the continuation of hardware roll-

out to replace older and out of warranty laptops and desktops to in-house and field

representatives across the US for Sandvik Coromant. Roll-out included maintaining a current and

up-to-date inventory, as well as imaging of all hardware and installation of known Sandvik

Standard applications via SMS. Corresponding with customers receiving hardware, and setting

up ship dates and location.

January 2011- August 2011:

I am overseeing yet another hardware roll-out project which spans the scope of the three

Sandvik sites, keeping deadlines at hand, efficiency, and customer satisfaction throughout

process.

iPad Pilot

September 2010-August 2011:

Objectives include:

o How the iPad could potentially replace laptops for most business use among Sales

Representatives, and in what circumstances

o How the tablet device can be integrated with already existing business solutions

What applications can be created in Apples’ native IOS language to compliment existing

Responsibilities: providing IT support worldwide for 44,131 employees. Provide dedicated

phone support regarding issues of all computer related facets, whether, hardware, software, or

network related.

Projects

March 2009:

Involved in the deployment of CMC (Citrix Metaframe Console) revision roll-out to all sales

employees in the United States via Core. The Core database solution is used to track all

established customers and potential sales leads.

May 2009:

Involved in the release of Lotus Notes 8 upgrade for employees globally, providing install and

configuration of application, as well as managed questions concerns about newly implemented

revisions and functionality of solution.

Olympus Surgical and Industrial Inc. Orangeburg, NY 2006-2008

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Responsibilities: Provide business solutions for approximately 200 in-house end-users, and 300+

sales representatives throughout the United States and Canada. Administration of cross-platform

users in a Microsoft Windows Server environment. Administer Domino Servers for Lotus Notes

email client, including but not limited to the standard creation/deletion of user IDs, user groups,

delegation of access permissions and implementation to existing Notes infrastructure. Overseer

of BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server), and support analyst for any hardware, software, or

network related issues including in-house BlackBerry repair. Maintained an on-site DELL

workshop that included server, desktop, laptop, printer, and multi-function device repair.

April 2006: Involved in the migration to Lotus Notes Client 7 from Lotus Notes 5, including

the installation and configuration of the email client in all in-house and remote laptop users, and

the administration of thereafter.

April 2008: Team lead for migration of business systems standards across North America.

Included the migration to IBM iSeries platform from the Citrix Resource Manager standard due

to acquisition of several smaller companies. Migration also included implementation of SMS

(System Management Services) and the installation of it in over 500 business machines, as well

as the deployment of newer and more efficient VPN solutions to replace older ones.

On-Site Technologies 2003-current

Job title: Lead Networking Consultant for Action Media

Responsibilities: Routine maintenance of a small business local area network statically and

remotely (Microsoft Windows server 2003 and Exchange based). Design, recommend, and

implement cost effective networking solutions to meet budget constraints of a small business
