September 2013 Present Paulette F. Balin & Associates 7372 Lakeshore Blvd Mentor Ohio 44060. Veterans case manager/paralegal. Work under the supervision of Lead Veterans claims attorney researching denied Veterans disability claims, looking for new and material evidence in claimants medical files, active duty personnel folder statements from medical professionals and witnesses to service connected injuries. Interviewing claimant conducting intake current information and establish dialog with Veterans administration Veterans representatives. Also, making certain all deadlines are met preparing notice of disagreement letters and claims asking Va to reopen expired claims. Also initiating contact with law firms and Veterans organizations who are willing to partner with active claims.

November 2012 to June 2013 Force One Baseball Academy: Served as head baseball coach part time for a 16 and under travel baseball team. Started working out with players in November at One Wellness in Eastlake indoor infield practice, pitching practice, hitting in the cage. Managed all aspect of the team to include, practice, games, setting line up card, making pitching changes and coaching 3rd base. Also, entered team into four tournaments one out of town tournament at Batavia New York. Had five players named to the all star team.

May 2013 to August 2013 Just Energy 20600 Chagrin Blvd Shaker Hts-risk management/security Independent contractor. Served as a security and risk management consultant for 3rd party energy provider who hired independent contractors who would go into the field door to door solicit electric and natural gas customers. Observed operations made suggestions about security issues and provided suggestions concerning risk management problems with employees. Worked 8am to noon Monday thru Friday for four months limited contract. Decided not to enter into a 2nd contract.

November 2006 to 2008 Let Freedom Sing Radio Hour :( Talk Show Host)

Created a talk radio show that is dedicated to Veterans, active duty military and safety forces. Served as talk show host and producer responsible for sales and marketing searching for sponsors and advertisers. Show theme provided interesting and informative conversation targeting Veterans issues and problems with the back drop of music. Sponsored several fund raisers which provided financial help to our needy Veterans helping them pay for shelter, food and clothing.

May 2003 to Present Freelance Veterans Advocate: Served as legal representative for Veterans helping them file for disability compensation, medical services, non service connected pensions and vocational rehabilitation services. Recently hit a personal milestone helping to return 2 million dollars in back pay for claimants that I have represented since 2003.Organized special project and out reach programs for the homeless and low income Veterans and active duty military.

Working under guidance of General Manager, served as the pro shop assistant providing assistance to the general public, taking tee times working the cash register selling golf merchandise, green fees, opening and closing duties. Helping make golfing experience enjoyable pleasant for club members and playing public.

Jan 1999 to December 2001 Golf Course Pro Shop Assistant Manager:

Under the guidance of the General Manager was responsible for entire operation of Golf Pro Shop, snack bar and driving range during his absence. Other duties included to include setting staff schedule, provided training, scheduling, managing assistance to league officials, booked leagues tournaments as well as opening and closing duties.

December 1998 to December 1999 Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club Pro Shop assistance. Working under guidance of Director of Golf served as pro shop assistant and golf ranger and starter. Working pro show taking tee times, working cash register selling golf merchandise, green fees with opening and closing duties. Helping provide an enjoyable and pleasant round of golf for both home owners and general public.

April 1995 to September 1997 ---Radio Talk Show Host/Producer: Created a popular all golf talk radio show which captured the attention of golfer’s all playing abilities and skill levels. Created a fast paced vibrant multi-segmented golf talk radio show and served as host and producer. Responsible for making the visual game of golf come alive on the radio. Worked with the PGA of America, LPGA, Nike tour, Adams Golf, Myrtle Beach Jet Express along with local and regional businesses. Provided a four hour live on course radio remote for the LPGA at Avalon Lakes for the Giant Eagle Classic golf classic and served as a special consultant for the PGA radio tour in its developmental stages.

October 1995 to October 1997---United Security Management

Served as Assistant Account Representative (security coordinator) assigned to CEI security accounts. Responsible for four different contract sites supervised entire security operation to included scheduling, training providing regular inspection of each site making certain security personnel are in compliance with post and special orders. Met with each facility client representative each week providing updates on any security issue or problem and making recommendation for change. On call 24/7 for call offs an or security emergencies. Left employment moved to Florida October 1997.

November 1988 to October 1995---Polaris Career Center/Middleburg Hts Ohio:

Served as campus Security Director who monitored student’s behavior while on campus making certain that students followed all rules and guidelines set forth by the school board and High School Principal. Also, was assigned as substitute teacher, educational aide working with at risk 8th,9th,10th, grade behavior challenged students. Also Served as coach, life skills teacher and adult vocational teacher. Developed and taught a motivational life skills class that provided overview of all four branches of the military calling the class “Introduction to military service” Created two addition life skills .

November 1973 to November 1988 US Postal Inspection Service Postal Police Officer/Special Investigator: Responsible for law-enforcement activities as they relate to the Postal Service. Served as first responder providing medical assistance and security services to Postal employees/management and general public. Patrolled downtown general mail facility and parcel post annex on foot, golf cart and patrol vehicle. Respond to intrusion alarms at all 36 sub stations in Cuyahoga County and performed coded shipment security for high valued shipments of mail to and from airport. Assisted Postal Inspectors with investigations as directed.

September 1972 to November 1973 ---Deputy Sheriff Cuyahoga County, Cleveland Ohio: Worked various assignments to include jobs including booking desk, jail security, vehicle patrol, court room protection, prisoner transportation, fugitive warrant unit.

January 1967 to September 1972---Active Duty US Army: Served as military police officer, desk sergeant, patrol supervisor, air marshal and criminal investigator with JAG. Completed basic training and military police training and graduated number three in drill sergeant academy number one in NCO leadership training. My military career was marked with excellence and accomplishments.
