Army Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) issues its own private label
cards. Currently these products are issued / processed by AAFES on
VisionPLUS 2.57 platform. AAFES has undertaken a project to upgrade its
card processing platform from VisionPLUS 2.57 to VisionPLUS 8.34.
Responsibilities:
. Preparation of Testing Strategy and walkthrough with Business

The EZ-PASS Work Stream facilitates client boarding onto VisionPLUS and
eventually the FirstVision Technology Project (FVTP) platform. EZ-PASS
built out as a client-facing user-interface that will centralize,
track, and report all of the processes required to support product
launches, start-ups, and the conversion of accounts onto the VisionPLUS
and FVTP systems.

First Vision Technology Program was initiated to migrate the mainframe
centric credit cards processing application VisionPLUS to a Java / web-
based platform. The development was first done for pre-paid cards. Agile
testing methodology (Scrum) was followed in the project where the tasks
would be received from the client in sprints with frequent and dynamic
revision of requirements

Release 8.01 - Starlight - Project Release 8.01 was initiated when FDC
embarked on the First release of VisionPLUS system for year 2008. Release
8.01 was one of the biggest Releases in the history of First Data with one
of their major client Lloyds migrating to VisionPLUS from Equasion. This
required extensive regression testing for all Debit and Credit Card
products of FDC's major clients like SAMBA, Barclays Bank, Vanquis, Banco
Mais, NBK, Allied Bank, ABB, Alfalah and the Riyadh bank and system testing
for all Debit and Credit Card products of FDC's major client LTSB. The
regression testing involved testing of all base and custom functionalities
for all the products.
Release 8.02, 8.03 & 8.04 - On every release in a year, First data performs
testing for their client's portfolio which they hold. Both New enhancements
& Regression testing are performed in the release. Apart from the releases
there is off release Minor Installs that happen for adhoc client
requirements. This required regression testing for most of FDC's major
clients like SAMBA, NBK, Alfalah and the Riyadh bank for Surround Systems.
The impacted regression was carried out for the existing clients in the
same code base.
Responsibilities:
. Requirements gathering for Surround Systems which includes (Embossing,
Pin Mailer, Statements and Letters) related testing.
. Test scope signoff and delivery after internal and client reviews.
. Lead the Capgemini Surround testing team from Onsite and co-ordinated
with offshore team members for the smooth execution of the project.
. I was a key member of the Capgemini testing team formed for testing of
Surround functionalities since Day 1.
. Preparation of Test Plan documents in client specific template

The regression testing involved testing of all base and custom
functionalities for all the products in V+ 8.23 and 8.24
Release 7.03 & 7.03.01 - MasterCard scheme compliance changes were tested
as part of this release for all the EMEA clients of FIRST DATA. This
required extensive regression testing for all products of FDC's major
clients like SAMBA, Barclays Bank, Vanquis, Banco Mais, NBK and the Riyadh
bank. The regression testing involved testing of all base and custom
functionalities for all the Debit and Credit Card products.

Project Description:
VisionPLUS largely replaced the GEFEST system that was used in GEDB Russia.
Phase one established the VisionPLUS platform for new customer accounts
and implemented VisionPLUS to minimize the increase in customer account
volumes on GEFEST. Postilion was implemented as a front-end system for
both GEFEST and VisionPLUS/FAS. The five products tested in GE Russia
are Visa Instant Credit card, Visa Classic Credit card, Card Based
Sales Finance, Paper Based Sales Finance and Cash Loans.
